The staffs at the site were super nice. I lost my cell phone in the water while canoeing and couldn’t find it after searching for an hour under water. Miraculously, the staff texted me a week later that the phone was recovered. Julie went out of her way and returned the phone to me. I can’t say enough words to appreciate their Samaritan acts and really went out of their ways to help the others.

We had actually only planned Hope Bay as a stopover on our RV trip from Huntsville to Niagara Falls. The campground and bay turned out to be one of the most beautiful places on our round trip. Apparently, most campers stay here for a long time. There are few places for short stays. Overall, this gives the site a clean impression.
It is only a two-minute walk from the pitches to the sandy beach, where a few sun loungers are available free of charge for campground guests. All other items (kayaks, stand-up boards etc.) must be hired (20 C$/h). There is a small store at the reception with the most necessary things. The people there are very friendly and service-oriented.
You should definitely take the section of the Bruce Trail that winds through the forest on the left side of the bay up to the cliffs to a viewpoint. Mystical rocks, Stone Age rock relics and, of course, the view over the turquoise water are worth the three-hour hike (there and back).

The cabin was clean and well stocked. The owners were quick to reply to questions by text. The location is great for swimming if you have kids because the beach is sandy and shallow. Close drive to many of the Bruce Trail access points.

Campground is beautiful, they did a lot with the space they have, each place has a unique decor. The beach is walking distance and we rented a canoe for reasonable prices.

We have been camping there on 5 occasions over the last three years. The place is great, very well kept and the owners and workers have been very helpful and friendly. We are relatively new to trailering and this place is the best !!!

Not far from Toronto. Good location on the shore of the bay. Kayaks and canoes were available for rent. Easy access to Bruce trail. Different types of sites available from tent ⛺ to full service. Well maintained. Host lady is incredibly helpful: she was satisfying all our needs right away. Thank you very much! ? I'd definitely stay here again and recommend this nice campground to everyone, who loves hiking and water activities.

We stayed at the campground Summer 2022. Our campsite had grass, good space for a small tent, PRIVACY, with lots of beautiful trees. Friendly staff that treated you like family, respectful campers, DELIVERY for your campfire wood WOW!! There is parking available to drive out to the beach (2 min). The beach is clean, well maintained and SANDY...beautiful views from the beach. I recommend this campsite to all my friends and family. This is on my repeat list.

We stayed for 4 nights over thanksgiving weekend (my mom, myself and my toddler)There was no one in the office all weekend although the owner was available by phone. She was friendly when she drove by our siteIt is a very nice location close to the Bruce trail and just across the road is a small beach and beautiful viewThe only amenities available when we were there were the showers, laundry and outdoor seating area by the office. The showers were full of cobwebs and the floor was quite dirty, it clearly had not been cleaned in a long time. The automatic lights in the bathroom kept going out during my shower lolWe had a full service site. The campground was quiet other than a tractor moving around some stuff that kept driving past our site

Me, my partner, and 2 other friends stayed at this park for a week. We tented at Hope Bay and had a few problems. It started when we got 2 noise complaints at 9:30pm coming from residents staying overnight. One for music being too loud, and one for talking too loud, we got approached at 9:30pm which gives the idea that the complaints were given earlier regardless of the fact that the terms and conditions I signed off on say 11pm is quiet time. Regardless, we apologized for what occurred and said we would quiet down, in which we got a reply to stop the music and everything else. I understand being too loud, but when you sign off on terms and conditions and have the contract in your possession you expect to follow the rules you were given. So obviously we were all confused on the attitude we got and when the rules were just different to what we signed off on.After this, we got approached about our generator. I’ll mention now that this is a campsite generator, the decibels of it are quite low compared to your regular generator, and we also had it on eco mode which is quieter than the average mode on this. In addition, the circle we were in was empty (no other sites being occupied), and the complaint came in the middle of the day, we got told that in the terms and conditions it states that generators aren’t allowed, in the PDF that I have signed, not once does it mention the use of generators. The alternative to this given to us by the owner was to drag our air mattresses across the whole park to either the bathroom, or outside on the muddy ground because it had been raining every morning and this specific outlet was outside. In terms of phones, we got offered to bring them to the office, where they got messed with as a result.I understand if this owner has had a problem with young adults in the past, but if you are going to target young adults for things that other people didn’t get targeted for, you should have an age restriction on the camp site. We were being woken up every morning before quiet hours ended by screaming and a variety of things that never gotten dealt with. Loud dogs, screaming children, music, and more. The terms and conditions state that there is a full list of rules at the office, but you still have to follow rules that you didn’t sign off on/or weren’t provided in the contract that you sign prior to purchasing your reservation.Just expect to be managed, and expect every rule you sign off on to be bent into whatever the owner would prefer regardless of what you agreed to before you pay for whatever site or reservation you are making. Thanks for reading. (+ this isn’t even all that occurred)

The online map is wrong, the map they give you is wrong. The bathrooms listed are porta potty's, there is private property located between the campground and the water which isn't shown on either
