I recently had an experience with this butcher shop that proved exactly why they’ve earned my trust. I had pre-ordered a 2lb A3 prime short rib for a special dinner with my in-laws. When I came in to pick it up, and the cut wasn’t available. Mistakes happen, but what really stood out was how professionally and sincerely the staff handled it. They immediately apologized, took ownership of the issue, and assured me they would have the cut ready the next day.
What happened next is what truly impressed me: the store clerk offered me high-quality Australian boneless short ribs as an alternative—at the same price—and even doubled the amount for free to make up for the inconvenience. Their generosity and customer-first attitude turned what could’ve been a stressful situation into a genuinely positive experience.
The meat was fantastic, the service was exceptional, and their commitment to making things right was above and beyond. This is the kind of business that values its customers and stands behind its word. I’ll absolutely be returning—and recommending them to everyone I know.

“This guy is amazing! Super friendly individual with a great sense of humour. The hours aren’t always accurate, but I’m sure most small town shops are a little loose with their times. However, I went in on a hunt for beef tallow and found it. I’d asked many different butchers across the GTA for tallow, but many didn’t know what that even was. But this Meat Merchant in Uxbridge not only knew about, but all its great uses as well! He also spoke of other local ladies needing it. Furthermore, I saw that this shop contained a variety of different meats from different cuts of pork and beef. I’ll definitely return when I’m next in Uxbridge!”

“My family and I have been coming here for many years now. It is the only place we buy our freshly made frozen meats and meals. The owner is very helpful and will explain to you how to cook each item that you choose to purchase. The quality of ingredients used is top notch and not filled with all those extra fillers you would find at other shops. I will not go anywhere else except to Lin's Taste. My father loves the GIANT siu mai here and the tofu skin rolls filled with shrimp is a personal favourite. Remember to bring cash ! They speak Cantonese and Mandarin here as well. I can not read Chinese but they have the menu in English which I am so grateful for. Support a local small business that is woman owned. I look forward to my visits each time.”

“Just came here for the first time as I was looking for bone marrow for a recipe, and I was stunned at the high quality of the meats. Just visually the marbling on their cuts of steak was phenomenal, at market value prices. Not to mention that staff was super nice and attentive and even cut my marrow into halves for me. I used to do my steak shopping at Longos but I think I’ve found my new butcher here!!”
