Awful customer service at this location!We walked in and the store was empty. The men were chatting away and didn't greet us. The salesman was SO unprofessional and disrespectful to us. I think he works for himself not sleep country. Will never return and will never recommend this store and their lack of services.

They don't keep their commitment. They say 3 hour window for delivery but it is now 4 hours and counting.

I had to make sure that I posted this on their site as I sent another review to head office.I have been dealing with this store in Whitby for over +15 yrs with a now retired store employee named Christopher.What has me coming back is their customer service care inside the store. They will bend over backwards to make sure you get a good night sleep.I had the best experience ever and met with pleasure, Bobby! I cannot ever express my gratitude for absolutely everything that he has done for me and my never ending sleep issues and did not rest until I was completely satisfied.I know I must of drove him and another exceptional staff member, Derrick crazy with my relentless worry about picking the correct mattress and testing each mattress they chose for me.When you pay top dollar, you expect the same from the entire team. I got top dollar value and their experience and expertise from both these gentlemen.Bobby, from the bottom of my heart again, I cannot thank you enough!Here’s to years of finally a good night sleep!Christine

Our adjustable Tempurpedic bed sold to us by Juliet, borrowed from the Ajax store, is perfect! Delivery however was lacking, delivery persons did not ask us if height suited us! No it did not, so after a call the next day they sent out Sahil and Aryan who within minutes had us fixed up! Two lovely young men, nothing was a problem for them. Thank you Whitby Sleep Country!

Doesnt seem like the people in the store wanted to work today. My wife and I walked in and the store was completely empty. We walk around a bit and hear 2 guys in the back desk chatting away, commenting about how they "didn't even hear them walk in". Despite this not a single bit of acknowledgement, no hello, no can we help you, nothing. They sat at their desk the entire 5 minutes we were in there. We walked out.

Derrick makes this location worth going to. Outstanding service and support throughout the process. Really informative, patient, and knowledgeable about all things sleep. Has been super helpful in my search for the right mattress to resolve my back issues, and really goes the extra mile to work within your budget. I’ve purchased from sleep country before, but this time around was a far better experience thanks to him.

Purchased a new mattress and pillow from Derrick and couldn't be happier. Derrick is very friendly and professional and helpful. He made purchasing a mattress easy. The delivery guys were friendly professional and helpful aswell. Keep up the great work guys!

On June 19, 2023 my husband and I went into the store on Brock to look around for a mattress and bed frame. We were interested in Simba mattress and an Ashley Bed Frame. We specifically asked for a Queen size mattress with an Ashley Bed Frame. Lo and behold we get a double bed and frame delivered two days later. I could not tell it was a double bed immediately because it was a Simba mattress so I thought it might look smaller than the big spring mattress we had, we could only tell when we tried to sleep in it that night. My husband is almost 6 feet tall and I'm 5' 1". His feet were hanging off the bed and it was way too tight for us to sleep side by side and very uncomfortable. I called the store back the next day and the manager said he heard me say "double bed". No possible way that I said that because of my husband's height and I've never ever had a double bed in my life, even when I was a teenager. We are both in our 70's and I feel we were not treated right. Also, I was charged another $169.00 for a Queen size Bed Frame, when it wasn't my mistake so I thought that was insulting. Also we received a used Simba Queen sized mattress which was dirty at the sides. We are very unhappy with the service from this store and will never return to shop here. I suggest you look at the video and listen to the audio sound where I ask for a Queen Sized Mattress, more than once. I paid $2,311.57 plus another $169.00 for the Mattress which comes to $2,480.00. I could have shopped around and maybe received a better deal.

Excellent service by Jeff! Purchased a new mattress for my parents and he spent a lot of time explaining the differences but ultimately helped them select the right one. Delivery drivers were fantastic, quick, easy and painless delivery. Would recommend this location specifically Jeff!

Have made recent significant purchases of bed, Bloom Cloud matt, bed frame, several matt covers. Excellent service for ordering, storage, set up at home and follow up question. The team under the leadership of Bobby and salesassoc. Shiraj were customer focussed, aswered to follow up purchases and offered consistent discounts ( no questions, asked). Appreciate your service. What started as a quick visit to the Whitby Sleep Country Store resulted in the LONG OVERDUE purchase of an amazing mattress, platforms, pillows and protectors.Ash, the salesperson we were fortunate to meet was fantastic from our first interaction, he was honest, professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. With at least a decade of poor sleeping I went in looking for a pillow...trying to find an inexpensive way to get a good night's sleep. Ash found a very respectful way to explain to me that our mattress should be in a museum and that it was doing us no good. My husband was sold on a new mattress before I even went into the store but I needed convincing as I was in denial. I went in a second time by myself where Ash offered more information and more facts that I took home to mull over. On the third visit we were sold, we purchased pillows, a fantastic mattress, mattress platforms (a big change from using a box spring for our entire lives) as well as protectors to preserve our investment - and we could not be happier! Not one regret! We wake up refreshed, ache free and happy that we did not wait any longer. Along the way we met other sales people who were also very friendly.Ash was amazing to deal with, he was professional, courteous, friendly and very helpful. We totally enjoyed working with him and learning from him and we are so glad we settled on the mattress that we did. The Sleep Country delivery team was amazing as well, friendly and professional. The delivery went exactly as we were told it would go.Overall we are extremely happy customers, thank you so much Ash! You can be sure that if we are ever in need of a mattress or pillows we will definitely be in to see you.

After a long and arduous search we landed at Sleep Country Whitby. We spoke to Ash and wanted to come back to have a real nap on a mattress we’ve been eyeing & see if we’d spend that kind of money , I wanted a test run.After laying there on the mattress for an hour and a half we came to the conclusion that we want to purchase the mattress and the raised pedestal.Ash was knowledgeable and great to deal with & helped to clear up a coworker’s mishap, we almost missed out on our rebate but thanks to Ash for being an honest good person we were able to get our rebate and spend a little more on completing the Purple experience with pillows. With that said, good night!

My mom purchased a kingsdown hybrid mattress not even 2 years ago and now a big sagging hole is right in the middle of the mattress. Contacted sleep country customer service and put through claim for the warranty and was told to send multiple pictures of this sagging hole. Received email stating that this issue wasn't under their warranty policy and we now have to contact the manufacturer ourselves. This is absolutely unacceptable. Especially since mattresses are not cheap and not something you should need to replace every two years. I see a similar problem in the reviews below about the same mattress so clearly this isn't anything new to them. Not only does the mattress have a sagging hole that somebody is expected to sleep on after having it for a short amount of time but now we have to go through hoops to resolve the issue which seems like they don't even want to resolve anyway. Very disappointing.
