Gap's general return policy is that you can return items purchased online in any store. It says this on your receipt when you place an online order, AND on their website.This store discriminates against pregnant people by not accepting returns on maternity wear. Running errands is exhausting while pregnant. Unfortunately, this store does not care if a pregnant person goes out of their way to come into the store to return an item. They will not accept it.

I recently purchased numerous items online from the stunning LSFxGap collection.When many of the items I purchased went on sale, I called the store to inquire about price matching. They advised me to call online customer service. I reached out, but my purchase fell outside of the 14-day return window. The agent suggested I return and repurchase the items in store given that 18 days had passed. I was a little put off by the inconvenience, but I thought the savings would be worth it. I also called the store in advance to confirm. Over the phone I spoke with Joy, the store manager, who immediately stated that the "LSF collaboration is excluded from sales." I then calmly explained that the LSFxGap kids' items and select adult pieces from the collection are currently marked down on the website. She was surprised but said it was possible to return and rebuy at the discounted price.When I went into the store the following day, it was near closing, so I used the time to do just the return/repurchases and left the returns for another day, so as not to keep the staff overtime. The young lady assisting me was pleasant. She asked her manager, Joy for permission to proceed. Again, her response was that "LSF items are excluded from sales." So, I had to politely reiterate that the items are indeed marked down online and that I even called to confirm that such transactions are permissible. The cashier located most markdowns in their system, but the "SOLD OUT" items did not appear. Luckily, I had taken screenshots of these items, which Joy accepted as proof enough for the 'alternate' price adjustments. I felt grateful toward her for honouring the sale prices as promised.The following day I returned to the store to complete the remaining 'price adjustments' on five items and do a number of returns. The young cashier assisting was different from the young lady helping the previous night, but was equally pleasant and willing to help. She told me that she could definitely return and repurchase the five items that were marked down online, which was done fairly quickly. I then started into the returns which were strategically organized in bags and boxes according to order number. I had my printed paperwork in front of me to keep track of returned items and file with my receipts. I had completed a couple of returns when Joy interrupted mid-transaction. As a matter of fact, the cashier almost forgot to process the refund for those items because of the interruption. Joy started lecturing me on how what she did the other night was not something they can normally do and how they had a meeting about it that morning. I was polite but commented to the SA: "Don't I have 30 days to do a return?" to which she responded "Yes." I then realized Joy had assumed I was returning and repurchasing items that I was in fact simply returning. However, her lecture was unprofessional and irrelevant.Unfortunately, the story doesn't end there. Although I was polite to Joy despite her out-of-place lecture, she later took further opportunity to act confrontational. After looking surprised when she learned I was doing only returns, she came over and asked aggressively, "Can't she just scan all of the items in the bag?" to which I responded I am crossing them off one by one to keep an accurate record of the returns and making sure they are on the right receipts as I placed multiple orders. She didn't seem to care about my response and proceeded to rummage through my packages (my property, in other words, as it had not yet been returned). She tried to take away an "empty" box which in fact had a bag containing a denim skirt in it as well as another box with a tote bag in it. My anxiety piqued as she showed further disregard for my feelings. When I stated, "I've taken no issue with you. I don't understand why you're taking issue with me. Terrible service and refused to use discoiht code recieved via email for friends and family with my account. Not shopping where customer service associates wants to argue with the customers.

Very poor cloth quality with a huge price . The cloth shrinks so fast after a wash and their return policy is so hectic that they don't even ready to address customer complaints

The ladies at the gap today were so sweet and helpful. It was pouring rain outside and i got soaked walking from the bus to the door. A lady asked me what i was looking for and i told her i was soaked and wanted dry, comfy clothes to change into. She introduced me to another worker who showed me exactly what i was looking for and even gave me cheap options. When i checked out I had multiple staff members making sure i found what i liked and asking if i wanted to change there after i paid. The lady that was helping me made sure you add 30% for being a member. Everyone was super sweet and cared so much! it was a great experience and definitely made my day!
