“Good products. Most of the fruits are lower priced and have higher Quality. But some vegetables and some canned are little expensive compared to other store franchises. But still I’m a fan of this place.”

“A myriad of delicious food choices. Their home delivery has a lot of coupons but I noticed some items were not available on the website despite being in store. The shoppers chose good vegetables for me.

You can use the free small baskets inside the store on the left when you enter. They are more maneuverable than big carts and hold a lot. But if you’re shopping alone and can’t carry more than one basket need a big cart, consider bringing a loonie.

Their hot foods are good, especially their cold dishes with chilli that are seran wrapped.

Their Vietnamese subs are good (next to the sushi near the door) sometimes they have the spicy version with a chilli pepper but they tend to put fast.

Their pho broth from Quoc Viet Foods gives you really good tasting pho, just boil the soup mix in a huge pot of water even without beef bones and add cilantro and green onions. Pair it with t and t beef tendon balls, hot pot slices, hoisin sauce, sriracha and lemon and you have homemade pho that will last you for days.”

“-cons: the parking exit could be quite tricky and unsafe during rush hours.

EDIT: The parking exit is now fixed. The exit is now very safe thanks to an added stop sign and a median.”

“This store is NO LONGER 24 HRS. They make pizza in the deli that is 13$ for a really large two topping made to order pie. They also sell slices for $3.99. I quite enjoy it! There is also a worker named Keith that is literally the loveliest human being on the planet.”

“Small Caribbean store with very friendly chatty owner (Captain Sunshine ). I wish the selection of fresh fruits and fresher vegetables were available but I know sourcing it can be hard unless you arein Toronto. Did buy a nice Dutch pot and some Jamaican sweet treats. Will be back here again for sure”

“PLEASE ALWAYS CHECK EXPIRATION DATE
I have been visiting this store for almost 2 years now, but only for Syriana Sweets (which is phenomenal ?)
What I haven't realized is how awesome this store is!
They have the most welcoming people working here
With a selection of great merchandise
I was absolutely stunned by the prices once I looked closely
They have many deals that you can't find anywhere else
Got 4 lemons for 1$, while I paid 1,5$ for each lemon at produce depo at the same month !!!

I got a pack of six of Barbican for 7 dollars , where I paid 12$ for the same product at Al Sultan Market in South Keys .
And I paid 24$ for the same bag of Mahmoud rice in the Turkish Store !!!

Some of their prices are too good to believe . But also alot of them are about to expire
So please watch the EXPIRATION DATE..
I found this gem hidden their also (Syrian grape molasses)
I'm trying their halal meat department next
I'm so excited to be here”

“I was browsing the internet and I usually don't write reviews, but I saw this one and I'm really sorry for some people who leave comments unfairly and maliciously, especially about a store that is incredibly popular in the Glebe area, offers fresh products with reasonable prices (are Whole Foods prices cheaper than Metro's???). The staff is also exceptionally kind and beloved, always helpful and responsible. Especially the person that someone mentioned (Armin), who always helps me with packaging. I will never forget the day I felt ill in the store and how he assisted me!”

“Although the store is quite small for a Provigo, they have a huge selection of vegan and gluten free PC brand stuff. And let me tell you, it feels good to have good products for cheaper! They taste really good as well. I go there for specific things that no where else has, not even other Provigos! Well done”

“Small friendly local grocery store. It has changed with the new ownership but still a good local grocery store. They still have a good selection of organic products . I wish they still sold the Amy's beans rice and cheese burrito. The one with glutten! They are impossible to find.”

“We found this place through a random Google search when we were looking for some Filipino items. We were making Kare Kare (peanut stew) and badly needed Bagoong (shrimp paste) and these guys had it!! It's a nice little store and the workers here are super nice. If you need some Filipino items, this store can be your lifeline!”

“I've been a customer for 30 years. The store has never looked better and there has been a noticeable improvement on the produce aisle ! For example, there were nice baskets of yellow beans for a few weeks this summer which I appreciated ! I sense the store is trying hard and that effort is also appreciated ! Don't hesitate to send some of your business their way !”

“Corn is outside but there are no bags... Trolleys also inside. You have to grab a bag inside, go the long way past the cash registers and out to get it as the bags tear as you out them in. Please put bags outside. Thank you.”

“The staff have always been friendly and polite. The products are usually decently stocked and relatively fresh. Overall, it has frequently been a good experience.”

“Don't normally shop here, but Loblaws stopped carrying the Pure Life Peach Iced Tea, and I can only find it at Metro now. One of the managers Ian was extremely helpful and nice. I could shop at any Metro, but I'd rather shop here where the staff obviously values their customers.”

“Huge selection of Middle East groceries, Fresh fish and butchery in the premises. So many olive oil choices that get you dizzy..fresh vegetables, cheeses, dairy products....just great.
Even have a counter with hot Middle East meals, salads and desserts to go or to eat in the cafeteria area.
All and all, prices are right.”

“Just like any other food store, but lately the fresh produce has been of poor quality. It goes bad within a day or two, and they still insist on spraying mist over it to make it look better than it really is.”

3.5 Good65 Reviews

“A small store but they have a surprisingly large selection of produce, meats, and household items. Decent prices too. Good for when you just want to grab groceries without walking for moles and dodging crowds.”

“This used to be my old neighborhood A&P back in the day, so when I stumbled upon a Metro I wasn't sure what to expect. I was not disappointed at all. This is a clean well kept, well stocked store. We were able to find all the things we were looking for. There is lots of variety and options available. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. There was plenty of parking available and easily accessible for those with mobility issues. There were plenty of carts to use in various sizes and all appealed clean and in good repair. We were especially pleased with some baked cheese bread from their bakery. No long lineups and I will happily be going back to this store!”

“Small but decent selection of hot ready made foods. Sausages are expensive though. And getting in and out of the parking lot is challenging with so many islands and one ways streets.”

“Great grocery store. I go here weekly and find it better priced than Loblaws. The store is new and clean. My only issue is that the one corner of the store has a strange smell when it rains. I think some pipes are having venting issues. Hope they fix this so I can give Lincoln Fields Metro 5 stars.”

“Loblaws prices are not attractive for many items at competitive stores, however it is extremely convenient as it is my bus depot change station location workdays and the entire staff are friendly, helpful and considerate, personable and professional!”
