Metro Inc. is a large grocery chain with over 600 stores in Quebec and Ontario, serving more than 65,000 employees. Founded in 1947, it is the only major Canadian food distributor headquartered in Quebec, with annual sales exceeding $11 billion. Customers appreciate that shelves are always stocked and the store remains clean and organized. Metro offers a selection of fresh products, including Ontario lamb and turkey, and participates in programs like Too Good To Go to reduce food waste. Staff are generally helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, making shopping more pleasant. However, some customers find prices to be higher in certain areas, though others note deals that make it worth the trip, especially considering rising gas costs. Occasionally, service can be slow, with long waits at the cash, but overall, shoppers feel satisfied with the quality and variety of products. Many see Metro as a store worth visiting for its fresh offerings and clean environment.
It's clean and has more variety then other store like food basics but the prices are just so expensive. Only come to metros if you can't find the things you need elsewhere.

Metro isn't usually my go to store but maybe it should be. When I'm looking for something a little different, like fresh Ontario lamb or fresh turkey, they've got it.
