Mixed feelings about Wealthsimple. Works well until it doesn't. I love filing taxes with Wealthsimple Tax. I love how the Wealthsimple app has no transaction fees. However, Wealthsimple locks down accounts for no apparent reasons, and you can't speak to a live customer service agent, who often takes 1-3 business days to respond to your inquiries. As a result of its lack of customer service support, I've transferred much of my deposits out of Wealthsimple to CIBC Wood Grundy.

Their customer service is garbage! I spoke with 3 'Customer Agents' who were not able to resolve my issue. I spent over 4 hours waiting on the chat for a resolution and over the phone too just to get NOTHING RESOLVED.

Wealthsimple is the best bank in Canada. I invest and have all my direct deposits set up with them. Very simple platform and investing, too. I’ve heard they also have great tax filing services, although I have yet to use it. They’ve changed the way I look at money and wealth entirely.

Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service. I have tried four times to solve my issue and it is still ongoing.Some how I am not allowed to move money out of my account. I called they take you information and put you in hold. First time was 30 minutes then it dropped me . Called back and give information all over again and on hold for over an hour then I had to do other things. Called later explained my issue and was told they would email me . They did not. Called again two days later again on hold for over an hour then it drops me . Problem is still not fixed!!

Fraudulent company that has the worst customer support. My money is on hold even though I have initiated a transfer of funds to my externally linked bank account .After 10 days , my transfer is stills pending. My funds are not available and customer support has been useless.
Stay clear !

Horrible service. Wealth simple froze my account and have been with multiple people with customer service with no help.
After submitting identification and bank statements of transfers they will still not unlock my account. Filling a complaint with OBSO and OSFI in coming days.
I do not recommend any account holdings with these crooks.

Ok rates but questionable service. I’ve had a delay of several days trying to use my credit card to pay for a western union transaction, it is blocked by the bank, they have still not fixed it.
Stripe does not interact with Wealthsimple as a bank. Since I use stripe to pay a small business for a monthly membership I’m stuck forcing the small business to pay credit card fees
Visa has put a hold between the Western union merchant and the wealth simple visa and I had to use an alternate means to make that transaction.
I have been addressed by a completely different wrong name several times by support staff . This causes confusion as it makes me think they have sent me the banking details of a different person.

PAST 2 WEEKS TRYING TO SET UP BUSINESS ACCOUNT AND NONE OF THE CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT COULD TRANSFER ME TO PROPER DEPARTMENT - EVERYDAY IN CIRCLE WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE - NOT WORTH FOR BUSINESS COMMUNITY

The worst app ever and buy fractional shares are a big scam they will only executed the order when they feel like. Don’t fall for it , they might give you some cheap offers!! Please don’t fall for it. Go for Wealthsimple instead.
