They even offer free wine tasting .

I went to this wine store on Tuesday night looking for a good sparkling wine. I told the guy working at the time that I wanted a Champagne, because Champagnes are reliably delicious. He replied that they only have Ontario wines at The Wine Shop and recommended I try Trius. I advised what kind of sparkling wines I look for, and he told me the Trius would meet my expectations. Over my skepticism, he said it was as good, if not better, than Moet and Chandon; a comparator that he chose. He was emphatic on this point, so I bought the Trius for $30. Trius is not good. It is not balanced, it is acidic, it has little flavour and a terrible finish. It rapidly looses its carbonation. It tastes like a classic bad sparkling wine. This sales person is ignorant, reckless and should not be giving people advice about wine. I feel he mislead me to get a sale, for whatever reason. Treat this place like a gift shop.
