I’m concerned about the staff's handling of expired products at Sobeys. Earlier today, around 8 AM, I visited the store intending to buy fresh orange juice and shrimp. However, I noticed that both items had expired 1-2 days prior, according to the labels. I brought this to the attention of a staff member, expecting the products to be removed to prevent anyone from purchasing them and potentially becoming ill.
To my surprise, when I returned to the store six hours later, those same expired items were still on the shelves. This raises concerns about food safety practices and how seriously the staff is taking these issues.

Don’t buy fresh produce i.e fresh fruits and vegetables from this store. Basically all their salads, berries, etc are already expired. I bought a box of spring mix leaves today and when I opened in, the leaves were all juiced and bad already. The other day I bought a pack of driscolis raspberries and the next day I went to eat them and they were alll mouldy.

I have been shopping here for many years generally without any issues.
Ever since the remodel, things have gotten worse somehow. I have not been able to get organic produce from here that isn’t moldy.
Regular berries are sometimes moldy, if not old and will get moldy within a day. What gives?
Pictures are captured over the last few months. Not a one off.

Often full of dogs. It can be especially bad during rain or snow, the smell of wet dog is very present.

Going downhill fast. They close early, the security guards lock the doors early "because too many people come in right before close" (I literally asked the guy why the doors were locked when it's open til 10), have been raising prices on the wrong items (things like cookies that cost 20 cents to make, have gone from 4.99 to 9.99 a pack...can't blame inflation or suppliers for that one guys), and quality has gone way down hill (vegetables spoil in 3 days vs a week+). They charge double the price of other Sobeys and grocery stores, while cutting services (like refrigerators, staff, etc) and hiring lazy security. Even the wine shop girl was confused why the security locks their door, right next to their shop, so early while theyre still open. Makes no sense, and we have other options, they've gone past the price/convenience barrier, where it's worth going a bit further to literally get 30-50% off.

Mostly overpriced, to cater to the condo babies, but better than Roblaws.

Got rid of all the refrigerators for various items in the store
Use to have refrigerator for the berries keeping them much fresher, went in this past week and they were covered in fruit flies. There also use to be cold energy drinks at the checkouts which have also been removed. It's funny how renovations made the client experience worse.....

Overall this is your standard issue grocery store. They have a extensive grab and go, meat and fish department which is really nice for a grocery store of this size. Stars docked only because it does lack selection as it is a very very very small Sobeys. It is really designed for you to grab a small amount of groceries especially if you are a condo dweller in the surrounding area. They have paid parking underground and a few limited street parking spots nearby. They also have a wine rack inside alongside beer offerings in the grocery store.
