Sivananda teaches the original and most authentic form of Hatha Yoga. The instructors at this organization are motivated by their deep dedication to the vedantic traditions of India rather than monetary reward. If you want to learn the purest form of yoga and pranayama techniques this is the place to go.

Amazing place to learn and practice yoga! I was a complete beginner and went through their yoga level 1 and 2 courses, now I've been doing their open classes for over six months and love it. They also have amazing package deals that make it very accessible. The teachers are all amazing. I love that they offer their classes both in person and online. And the weekly satsang is beautiful!

It had been a wonderful experience for me and my friend, Michelle, spending four days in the ashram. The place is calming and peaceful. I regenerated from my busy work schedule and family obligations. The environment is very clean and tranquil. It is in a natural setting on the beautiful white Sandy beach with clear bright blue colour seawater. All the staff and the guests have great energy. With the daily yoga classes, insightful teaching sessions and nourishing food, I feel both the health of my mind and my body have improved even just being there a few days. It is an amazing place to have a getaway to spend time for yourself. I highly recommend it! ?Sandra LamToronto Canada

I have been practicing yoga at the Sivananda Centre for about three months now. All of the staff are friendly, on name basis making you feel welcome. They are very accommodating and flexible with the passes. I do recommend buying the pass and attend as often as you can. I learn how to meditate/do breath work correctly, didn't manage to attempt the headstand but they do offer variation classes. The centre focuses on the five points of yoga, teaching Hatha yoga-traditional form. I will definitely return when i am back in the city.

I've been going for 5+ years, they are a great studio with well-trained teachers and a thoughtful yoga practice. The focus is on keeping a still mind while performing the 12 basic asanas for a 1.5 hour class. It's great for any level because it's non-judgemental and there's no expectation that you have to do all asanas to the maximum level. They offer an introductory class for free so you can try for yourself and see if it's right for you.

OMThe Mansfield Outdoor Centre fall retreat was perfect! I loved the vibe and beautiful atmosphere with an aurora of great people. Perfect place to clear the mind and meet new friends. I loved how this yoga retreat brings everyone together no matter how long you have been practicing. We had helpful, knowledgeable teachers and excellent teachings. Thanks to all our teachers! The food was amazing and exploring the property was so cool. I highly recommend Sivananda Toronto’s yoga retreats to anyone, you can be a beginner looking to learn more about yoga and meditation or an experienced yogi who wants to further their practices.Om Nama SivayaSivakami

This course was very helpful in starting my meditation practice.
Prior to this course, I would learn about and do meditation techniques here and there but it wasn't a priority for me to do it regularly and consistently. Something clicked for me about halfway through the course, and I have been doing my practice daily since. This has been the most important thing I came out of this class with.
I would hate to set false expectations, but if you need a bit of help in starting your meditation journey, I feel like this course has been a tipping point for me to get me going in the right direction.
The class will give you a general guideline on how to start meditating and starting your own meditation practice, but the most important thing is for you to actually do the practices during the week and if you have questions about whether or not you are doing it right or questions about your experiences during meditation, class time is a good time to ask, feel free to also send your teacher an e-mail too (although I didn't feel the need to, the option is there).
If this has resonated with you, I hope you make the time and give this a shot!
Peace and Love :)

A warm and welcoming community of knowledgable instructors and friendly practitioners. I took the Yoga 1 course, and would recommend it to anyone with little to no experience with Yoga. I feel that I improved in all 12 asanas, and gained body confidence and independence along the way. Thank you for a wonderful introduction to the practice, Sivananda.
