Sanko Trading Co. has served Toronto's Japanese community since 1968. It is a one-stop shop for Japanese food and gifts, stocked with hundreds of spices, sauces, staples, unique items, drinks, produce, and fresh onigiri. The store also offers beautiful dishware, tea pots, cute cutlery, plates, and really yummy treats and candy. The variety is great, featuring very good daikon. It can be a bit pricey but offers honest prices and amazing sales. The friendly and super helpful staff assist in picking the right ingredients. The store is a nice quaint location close to Trinity Bellwoods.
Cerámics and other gift type items are very expensive for what they are, but there are also some reasonably priced niche Japanese foodstuffs for the local Japanese community.

I love this store. Has unique items and foods. Miso paste, and soups, drinks and some produce. Beautiful dishware and tea pots. And really yummy treats
