Their staff are very helpful, the prices are competitive, and they almost always have what I need. Before you spend a ton of time wandering around Home Depot or Canadian Tire, give Rotblott's a shot!
When they're eventually replaced by condo's or a Starbucks, it will be a real loss for the neighborhood.

This place is a life-saver if you're living downtown and cannot go to big box-store in the suburbs, but even then doubly so because I doubt no place else would have such helpful staff!

These guys are the absolute best. Can't tell you how many times they've given me direction how to fix something and then supplied the part for a nominal price. Feel like I should be paying for the advice they give. Never get this kind of service anymore in big box retail.

I'd give them 10 stars if I could!
I came here due to an emergency during TIFF where I needed some equipment repaired. They jerry rigged a solution for me using some washers so I could avoid disaster.
All I had was tap payment on me (forgot my wallet) and they didn't even charge me for the parts. It was only about $1 but it wasn't the amount but the gesture and service that really mattered.
No better hardware store downtown, hands down.

A great store with some super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful folks!! I needed a screwdriver because my screws got stuck in one of my hinges… didn't get their name, but the worker tried their best to help me get it unstuck and gave me info on why it happened and how to prevent it. thank you!!

Super friendly and helpful staff in the neighbourhood. The best little hardware shop offers all things you need and immediate assistance. Thank you so much for the bolt cutter rental services!!! We are truly grateful for your help - otherwise my friend would have missed her flight as her lugguages were locked in my condo's locker room with a pad lock that I found the keys were missing 2 hours before her flight's departure.

Love this place. Knowledgeable staff, great selection. I highly recommend calling the team here (as their website is limited) before going to any other hardware store, as they'll likely have what you need without having to travel outside the downtown core.

Rotblott's is my favourite business in the area, and a really nice contrast to the surrounding restaurants/shops. It feels like a Toronto shop before all the huge condos went up.
Every time I go in, the employees are always very friendly and helpful. They help explain what I need (when I ask), which is especially helpful because I often don't know what I'm doing! Prices are reasonable, especially given the great location.

Rotblotts is the type of old school business in Toronto that you simply couldn't start today. Everything is useful, everyone is helpful, prices are reasonable. I can't think of another hardware store within 10 km since Jacob's closed. I'd be completely shattered if they decided Toronto didn't deserve them anymore.

Great little shop, I went to buy an extension cord but It was barely too short. So I asked then if I could exchange it for a longer one and they said sure no problem. I just had to pay thr difference.
