I'll save you all the sugar-coating. Do not come here for grooming EVER. Let me share my dog's traumatizing story from this location specifically. Although this was almost a year ago, I finally think I can share after my dog's recent POSITIVE experience with a new groomer.
Last December, we brought our dog here for grooming - specifically for a full bath and haircut. They make themselves seem so sweet and caring when really they don't actually care about your dog's happiness nor health. These groomers tackle grooming up to three dogs at once, therefore not even providing full attention to your dog at all times. I don't understand this company's policy with focusing on so many dogs at once - would it not be easier to finish one dog within 1.5 hours and then go onto another? I mean, three hours of working on several dogs is just insane and seems excessive for the groomer in all honesty. When they are out for a "smoke break", they leave your dog alone in a CRATE, shaking and upset (the grooming manager literally confirmed this for me over the phone). My dog is incredibly scared and anxious, especially when alone, and we even told them he was an anxious dog. Did they care? Obviously not...
Now onto the haircut itself. My dog was red, itchy, almost bleeding, and irritated all over. They straight up shaved our dog when we specifically asked them not to do that.
After the grooming, my dog curled into a ball on our beds for hours and hours and hours at a time. He refused to even go outside to do his business. FOR 7 DAYS. 7 DAYS HE WAS BEING FORCED TO GO OUT TO PEE. UNETHICAL!!!!! He was DEPRESSED and NOT OUR DOG. Our dog is so lively and always looks to play, not lay in bed and mope. I spoke to the who I believe was the grooming manager, Matt, and he belittled our emotions. He dared to tell me that "it's normal" and "every dog feels weird after a haircut", which is often true but his depression was far from "normal". He tried so hard, SO SO HARD, to defend his workers rather than just accept that they messed up and did not care for my dog. I am completely disgusted by his behaviour over the phone and I am shocked to see how little he cared about ensuring the safety of our pets.
Fast forward to today, almost a year later, we went to another groomer because we were sick of PetSmart's handle of our dog. When we came back, our dog was the happiest he has ever been. He was jumping around, greeting other dogs, running around, asking to play with his ball. He wasn't looking to be isolated. The haircut was also BEAUTIFUL. No irritation or anything. It only took an hour and a half because... guess what? She focused on my dog and my dog ONLY! No crates, no leaving him alone, nothing. PetSmart will gaslight you into thinking your dog's depression is a psychological thing and not a trauma response - disgusting. The store itself is great, but the grooming services are awful. Stop misleading customers and making them look stupid when in reality, you just cannot own up to your mistakes. Matt, one day you and your workers will have real blood on your hands and I hope that you get into serious trouble for it.

After purchasing a considerable amount of aquarium supplies, we were forbidden to purchase any new guppies by the cashier today! Sadly four guppies purchased at the store within the past two weeks had died despite providing excellent care in their holding tank - devastated, we requested a refund but were reprimanded by the cashier, and banned us from getting new fish in the future as she smirked! Wow - disrespectful customer service is unacceptable - have never experienced this before, and staff would benefit from training and basic knowledge of their area ( she was unaware of the gender of our fish, as confirmed by their manager ) (we were attempting to provide an adequate ratio of males and female guppies in our main tank).

Horrible Grooming Experience - My Dog Ended Up in the ER!
I had the worst experience at PetSmart’s grooming service (Etobicoke) recently. After bringing my dog in for a simple grooming session, he came out visibly distressed and could not walk properly for hours. To make matters worse, I had to rush him to the ER due to his condition. The vet confirmed that something during the grooming caused him significant discomfort.
When I brought this up with the PetSmart staff, they completely dismissed my concerns and took zero responsibility for what happened. The lack of care and accountability is shocking.
As a pet owner, I trusted PetSmart to take care of my dog, but they failed him in the worst way possible. I will never return and highly recommend avoiding their grooming services if you care about your pet's well-being.

You will have the worst checkout experience ever at this location as employees chat it up for hours with customers and managers joining in. Great experience for said customer. Bad for those of us on time schedules. Literally 5min in line is average at times.

I am very disappointed.
We have been using this PetSmart For a long time since we bought our dog. Today we took our dog Toby for a shower and a haircut, just like we have done for over 4 years, we never had any complaints when my husband went to get our dog The lady asked my husband not to take our dog there anymore because he wouldn't let her shave his paws. Toby is a small and obedient dog we have never had any problems before.
Be careful where you leave your pets, they have no patience.

It was heartbreaking to see my dog's nose got rubbed and the skin was partially off when I picked him up from the dog hotel. Does Petsmart put dogs in a kennel/crate?

We decided to try out the doggie day camp for the first time with our dog. To our surprise, we were never informed by the staff that due to her appearance (bully mix), she wouldn't be allowed to participate in the group play. We stayed in the area assuming that she would be playing with other dogs, which was the purpose of her stay.
We were extremely disappointed that we were not given this important information upfront. We made three trips back to check on her, hoping to see her playing with other dogs, but to no avail. It wasn't until we picked her up that we discovered she couldn't be in group play. This lack of transparency was very frustrating for us.

Extremely well organized location, clean and stocked. Prices are well marked, although I have to say, some of the higher end products are overpriced. The staff is very polite and always ready to help, every time I walk in, I'm greeted and asked if I need anything. Ready for adoption Pets, are "maintained" and well cared for. The website is organized efficiently and offers many discounts collected via points, that can be converted into dollars.

This review is solely about the grooming at this store. 9/10 employees have no customer service skills and seem like they hate working here.
I have tried to give them several chances with different employees; the job was done right once. You can book with a particular person however, they do not honour that. I dropped my dog off this morning and booked with a specific employee, confirmed over the phone and in-person. Yet when I returned three times during the appointment randomly, this employee was at the desk taking in dogs. So who was doing my dog’s service?
I asked for several specifics to be completed on the $100 service, several of which went ignored. I do not have the time and energy to fight and complain anymore so I am leaving this review for fellow dog owners to beware. Save your money and go to somewhere reputable! We will not be returning for grooming here.
