The only place downtown I could find great vegan kimchi at a good value. It’s tasty, authentic, comes in two sizes (I think 2L and a bigger one), and reasonably priced. Also, I like to stock up on roasted seaweed there as they always seem to have massive ends of them on deal. Don’t forget to grab some taiyaki (love the custard, but make sure it’s freshly made vs. ones sitting on the heater) on your way out!

Specially Korean/ Asian grocery mart. Great prices on meat.
Bring cash to buy a baked Taiyaki at the front - with either red bean or custard.

Custard Taiyaki is overly too sweet. Red bean one is better but not too unusual. Overall it is nice that are freshly made. Service is warm.

A very good supermarket with lots of Korean products and other Asian ingredients. There is a fish waffle ? maker stand inside which smells amazing and looks popular. A decent section for vegetables and fruit, meat that looks great but a little pricey, frozen meat and seafood, a million kinds of kimchi and prepared foods, seaweeds, noodles, starches and flours, tofu, burdock, seasonings and a wall of condiments.

I love PAT! I literally live a minute away from No Frills but stopped going because the quality of the meats, fruits and veggies is pretty bad. PAT is all quality and imo better priced.
