Bought a $75 porterhouse this week that was tough and flavourless (yes cooked medium rare ). Last week a $50 rib eye that was no better than metro or loblaw. Quality seems to have declined significantly since 2020. Very disappointing.

This place will forever be our butcher! New Manager,Wonderful friendly service, amazing meat and great Service! You can't beat this butcher!! They always have what we need and are very knowledgeable and helpful! Highly recommend this place!

They overcharged my card, then didn’t have half of the products and sent me a receipt with half the amount. But I didn’t receive a chargeback and they don’t respond to emails even tho they read them

I have been purchasing sandwiches here for years. The chicken sandwiches on occasion have had bones and cartilage in the sandwich. My Saturday purchase had a lot of cartilage and bones. I physically went to their Yonge Street location and showed them the photos. I asked for the manager but was directed to a young man who couldn’t care less. He said that it happens because they pull apart the chicken by hand and they will “try to do better next time”. No apology or compensation was offered. I have never written a negative review. Most businesses treat their customers with respect. I am appalled by the attitude of a business that I frequented.

Just had a Roast Beef Sandwich and it was amazing! I was impressed with the quality and amount of beef and other condiments! Much better than Pusateris, and less expensive! I’ll be back! Highly recommended!!!

The meats are of good quality. Yes they are pricey but the quality merits the price. However, the service is absolutely terrible. While I am not a regular (weekly) customer, I stop by every few months to purchase meat. And I always place my holiday orders here, and have done so for several years. I guess I keep thinking that I'll get a different result, as pre-COVID, the service was actually very good. But since the pandemic started, and particularly over the past year, the service has declined and is now just awful. Not once (last Thanksgiving, Christmas, or even last week) was my order ready when I said I would come pick it up. What is the sense of calling in an order if they can never find it? I realize holidays may be busy but last Friday the shop was not busy at all. I had called in earlier and placed an order, nothing too complicated, and said I would pick it up between 3 and 4pm. I arrived at 3:55pm. I was greeted (after a while) by a helper who obviously couldn't locate my order, went in the back to speak to someone, and then... didn't even promptly tell me that there was a problem. She chatted with a coworker for several minutes, drank from a carton of chocolate milk, and then finally acknowledged me and said -- no apology or anything -- "Your order's not ready. He's preparing it now." And the person preparing my order -- no smile, no nothing... and then gave me 1/2 lb of meat under what I had originally asked for. Not once did anyone apologize to me. There's one staff member who is particularly obnoxious, even moreso than the chocolate milk drinker. (It's a guy who actually has snide, rude comebacks if one asks why the order isn't ready). I remember last Thanksgiving I had for mild sausage and the helper told me they didn't have it when I plainly saw it. I decided not to pursue it as he was clearly not listening or interested in helping me.This is a continuous pattern. They definitely have their "favourites" here. It seems that they fawn over certain clients and completely disregard others.If this store weren't convenient, I simply wouldn't come here. As good as the meat is, no one deserves to be treated like this. I'm sure the local clientele wouldn't tolerate that.

Absolute CROOKS. Charged me $141.60 for 2 pounds of center cut beef tenderloin! That's $70.80 for 1 pound of AAA beef! Not even a prime cut! Unbelievable! I'm a private chef and will never shop there ever again! Disgusting!

High quality butcher in Rosedale. Steaks, roasts, sausages, lamb, poultry and more. Also prepared foods. I often get lunch here, sandwiches, soups, tacos, salads, etc. service is very knowledgeable and helpful. Nice, clean , store. Best place for meats in Rosedale.

I am not sure what happened, but the prices were a bit crazy from my in-store purchase this weekend, I double checked on their site, but I still not sure how I got the price below:- 2 breakfast sausages: $25 (seriously? they weren't even the big ones, on their site, its says $2.90 per unit, but doesn't say what is an unit which is confusing and misleading)- 2 skinless chicken thighs: above $25 under $30 (forgot the exact amount)- 2lb of chicken wings: $33- 2 NY prime strip-loins :$74 (I can't find this on their site)- 1 pack of 5 lamb chops:$75 (....)The quality was good, but the price tag was not worth it. Maybe just me, who is new to Toronto, that's what you pay for good meat in this city?
