I've been collecting points over several years, however, I was told today that the points program is finished. I was told by the manager that my points would not be honoured. As I was out of the country for several weeks and did not know about it, I asked what other arrangements could be done. The manager would not do anything and tried to tell me to speak to the owners. I've been shopping at this location for a long time and I'm very disappointed about how I'm being treated. The food is good quality but very expensive. The least the owners could do is come up with some other points program like other stores have. I guess they're too cheap to do that! I'll find other stores to shop at from now on. What a pity.
I appreciate you responding to my review so quickly. However, you have given the wrong answer to my problem. What you should have said was: "the next time you're in the store, please reach out to me to see if we can come to a satisfying outcome to this problem."

Norton Foods is not a bad place for your ready-made meals and basic groceries. It also has a nice selection of Jewish food. But there's one big problem with Nortown. Their prices are out to lunch. Everything is super expensive, and the portions are small. And it's not like the food is gourmet takeout to justify the pricing. They just rely on their regular customer base who prefer the convenience of location and familiarity and don't mind paying inflated prices.Another problem is that they have zero produce. Not a single vegetable to be found. So basically Nortown is the polar opposite of Costco. Id rather spend my money elsewhere.

I was there last week looking to buy chicken legs and some salmon, and the Asian guy working there refused to serve me, he sent me to wait for the seafood guy who was with another customer, after 5 or so minutes it was my turn, he was super polite and knowledgeable . During our conversation I could hear the same Asian employee and another man around the same age start arguing and yelling at each other. I hope the owners put a stop to this, BTW the salmon was great

I come to this location maybe once or twice a week and the service is great until yesterday afternoon. I bought a jar of Vegetable Soup and it was very difficult to open, my friend and I spent a lot time trying to open it and decided to give up. I went back to the store and had told them about it. Few of them tried to open it, one was wearing gloves and one of the cashiers didn't. They had asked someone in the back to open it (probably the 3rd person touched my soup) and while that was happening, I asked one of the cashiers (who wears glasses) if I could get a new one and she said no and that a lot of customers come back and help them open it, if that was the case how come they don't fix the issues? She said you would have to speak to the manager so I said Ok let me speak to the manager, she said "oh he just left" frustrated, i left the store and because I didn't like the way it was handled I called the store and I spoke to Paula who is a part time manager (so the cashier lied about having a manager in the store) she told me that I could come back and get a new one (she wasn't friendly, I asked her why she sounded so angry and she told me she was wearing a mask) Anyways, it wasn't about the soup, it was the way it was handled. I wanted to get a new one because so many of them touched it, they don't know where I live, I had to come back with my baby in the stroller. It was just a lot of hassle and the customer service was terrible and now I have to come back again for the second time? If only the cashier let me speak to the part time manager I could have had my soup then. I am not going back to get a new one even though they offered. I am not coming back to this store again, it's disappointing. Never again.

This Nortown on Eglinton W has been my main grocery for over 30 years. Best assorted sandwiches in Toronto (egg, tuna, salmon chicken tarragon etc.) Top quality meats, poultry, fish. Very good desserts from Robert's,Phipps, Duffle etc. Best BBQ chicken, breaded sole fillets, vegetables and salads in cold deli. They have milk, butter, eggs and nice assortment of cheeses so a one stop shop.if you like. Helped raising 3 grandkids with most scrumptious breads, baked goods, cookies at different price levels. I moved away from area months ago but still.order much food for delivery. Hat's off to wonderful quality and service which LRT didn't diminish. I knew the original owner/Mike a real mensch and obvious influence on his descendents in the business. Thank you Nortown. My grandkids thank you too.
