“Amazing selection, very good competitor pricing on highest quality meats, as a ex-chef with many chef friends, this is where they get their meats, i been doing that too for the last 4 years, and never disappointed or dissatisfied. Highly recommend, amazing customer service as well. Cant go wrong with this company ;)”
“This store doesn't have everything, but it should have everything you'd need. I love the concept of this store and the fact that they have vegetables, eggs, dairy and not just dried goods. Support this store so there can be more like it.”
“Best butcher in the city!
Go in at least weekly with all the variety they have and always friendly service with recommendations on recipes.
If you haven't stopped by and live around, I'd highly recommend stopping by.”

62 Laird Dr, Toronto“You don’t see many places that have a 5 star rating !!! There is a reason why!!! Andy and the grill time staff are friendly and welcoming… the food should get 6 out of 5 stars… and I don’t know many places where you can sit around the grill and get a premium steak cooked to order… or a premium sandwich…. ( They also have Keto options….) wonderful place!!!5 Stars !!!! AAAAAA ++++++”

1042 Bloor St W, Toronto“Excellent meat for reasonable price. I frequently visit this butchery for their AAA meat and the different cut they have. Most likely 50% off compared to the local butchery around the roncesvalle area. Busy place but little wait time.”
“The other reviews speak to the high quality and wide variety of meat, but the staff too is super friendly and very knowledgeable about the products - always willing to take the time to recommend other meats (sometimes more affordable) depending on the dish I am making or able to answer any questions I have about the meat.”

1968 Danforth Ave, Toronto“So glad to have royal beef right down the street from us. We dont eat a lot of meat, so when we do it needs to be of great quality and royal beef has yet to disappoint.”
“It is a little bit difficult to find a chicken liver in Toronto. However, Macellaria Atlas has it. Moreover, the price is cheaper than in grocery stores, as No frils, Metro, etc.Friendly service here as well.”
“I’ve been going there for over 20 years , food is amazing kabab, chicken… I sent probably over hundreds of people to the store through out the years and they are now regulars .BUT lately prices are high specially fresh meatU can’t put prices away higher that the other meat markets in the area !! I know everything is up but ur prices doesn’t make sense”

1513 Gerrard St E, Toronto“Just enjoyed a delicious ribeye from Sanagans Gerrard. My guy on the Counter was super helpful in choosing the best cut and special
shoutout to blackbird for the super consistent best baguette in Toronto. If I die tonight it will be with a smile on my face.”
“I've been to roast a few times and will offer this advice: Speak to the butcher. They are very knowledgeable about their products and give great recommendations. A couple times I've outlined an upcoming event, or asked for their advice on a dinner idea, and with their guidance always knocked it out of the park. Quality product and people.”
“Easily some of the best sandwiches in the city. Most Sandos come in at under $15 so they’re not cheap but damn are they good. I haven’t tried their meat counter yet but they also have a great frozen and prepped food section.”
“You can buy meat that is in excellent quality at this store. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the meat that you get. I highly recommend coming here for all your meat shopping!”
“I was there last week looking to buy chicken legs and some salmon, and the Asian guy working there refused to serve me, he sent me to wait for the seafood guy who was with another customer, after 5 or so minutes it was my turn, he was super polite and knowledgeable . During our conversation I could hear the same Asian employee and another man around the same age start arguing and yelling at each other. I hope the owners put a stop to this, BTW the salmon was great”
“I have been going to the Meat Dept. for many years now ever since I first went to their Danforth location. Yes there are a few butchers close to where I live, but I always go back to the MD. From the rock and roll always playing, to the friendly staff, it has never let us down. Also, the meat is top quality and seems on par with what it should cost for what you get. The kids have grown up with me going to MD and always know to look for the circle sign with the cleaver on it when on Roncy. We did our annual steak dinner for NYD and the steak was excellent as always. Thanks MD.”
“I've been many times, bought maybe 50lb of beef and 50lb of chicken total - quality has been very good, more consistent than grocery stores. They will vacuum seal meat for free on request, which is great for a sous vide brisket, ribs, or steak.”

2283 Bloor St W, Toronto“A stalwart of Bloor West Village has always been my go to place for fresh meats. Proper old-fashioned style butcher shop with friendly staff and high quality produce that is often cheaper than supermarkets. Bob was particularly helpful and carried my purchase to the door as I had my dog with me. 10/10 service.”
“Delicious, but staff need to know what’s in the prepared items. They often cannot answer whether specific allergens are in any of the items and just try to guess what’s inside by looking at it. Not great.”
“The best grocery store! The people working here are so kind, and genuinely pleasant to approach. Having the best produce and highest quality of items, this farm boy location is the best. And shoutout to Sarah :)”
“Great grocery store. So many items you cant get anywhere else in the city. Love their premade meal ideas & they always have the best baked goods during holidays”
“Amazing customer service! I went in for the first time not realizing I needed to pre-order but they were very friendly and helped me out with my order. I haven't cooked the meat yet but it all looks great quality and the prices are good as well.
I will definitely make an order here in the future.”
