We never have difficulty finding someone to answer a question or direct us to something we are trying to find.

Had such a lovely experience here after leaving the Home Depot at Ellesmere. THE STAFF WERE AMAZING AT RONA, and I don't think I will ver go back to home depot. The Rona was brightly lit, clean and better organized...but most importantly was the difference is the customer service. When I got to Rona, I asked for 2 specific things, and instead of just directing you to the aisle, which is what happened to me at home depot, the Rona staff actually walked me to the aisle and helped me with finding the product (and knew where it was) and asked me follow-up questions, which led me to get the prefabricated melamine shelves instead of cutting wood to size to fit a cupboard. which was what I was going to do initially .. but also to then instructed me that after I paid for them, I could also take them to be cut to he morw desired length I wanted.. When I was leaving the store they then by their own accors offered to call an associate to help me load the shelves from my cart in my car, which someone did and also then also offered to take the cart back. At Home Depot, I couldn't even get five employees to break up their conversation to help me when I approached them. This is no shade at all to Home Depot, the difference was simply night and day

I recently ordered lumber from RONA for my new home build and was thoroughly impressed with the service and competitive pricing. Ed Jeffery, the sales representative, was exceptionally quick and responsive, coordinating the delivery within just a few days. The lumber arrived well-packaged and labeled by section, with excellent quality throughout. When I needed additional lumber for a revision, Ed arranged next-day delivery without hesitation. Outstanding experience—highly recommended for anyone in need of reliable, efficient, and reasonably priced service.

Most of the products are expensive. In fact, nothing is cheap or fair price.

One star is generous for the level of service I received today. Two days ago, I purchased a 6" duct and an 8"-6" reducer. Today, I went to return the items to get the right size. However, the associate (think the name was Sam), decided without any sort of investigation or questions that one of the items was non-refundable as there were writings inside. I explained that those existed when I bought it. Begrudgingly, he started to process the return and asked that I tap or swipe when ready. I stated that I paid with Apple Pay but tapped the card that is programmed in Apple Pay. It didn't work. He repeated and snickered that I try the card ending with a certain number. I told him again that I don't have a card with that number. Then the third time around he asked for the card's last 4 digit that I had paid with, which when presented, worked out well.
Moral of the story: Go to Home Depot. It's right down Eglinton. Or order online from Amazon. Returns are way less stressful.
I hope Rona management takes this comment into consideration when training new staff. The store was not busy and someone with that sort of mentality is better suited for backroom position than facing customers. I hope to visit this store again the future and revise my rating. Cheers!

Starting with finding the paint product (Tremclad rust paint), Aisle 4, Section F: where the heck are the section labels? Another opportunity to follow Home Depot model of labelling.
Second: Self-checkout, there are insufficient machines for non-VIP card holders (3 VIP, one regular, that was stuck on a previous transaction - no way to cancel it by a customer). Why not follow the Home Depot model? I can't imagine this place on a busy day.
Third, after a lengthy wait for the customer ahead to be cashed out, the point of sale terminal is stationed behind the cashier, causing the customer to walk around the cashier to tap their card. Who designed this? It's like something from the City of Toronto Traffic Services - stuff works, but not well.
On a good note, the young female cashier was very pleasant an apologetic for the wait. Because of her, I gave two stars.
The store really needs a re-think on organisation for customer convenience, check-out, etc.
Note: my shopping time was approx. 11:45 a.m. on a Tuesday.

RONA seems to much like a Walmart to me.... No one has a clue about the products or wants to help.

We asked a worker to help us, it took half an hour for him to come. They said it was breakfast break.

Every time I visit I am impressed. The staff are easy to find and very knowledgeable. I spent a considerable amount of time at a different store looking for a specific sized nut and bolt. At Rona the products were so incredibly organized and a staff member helped me find it in less than a minute. I will be back.

Really enjoy this Brand, Lowes was ok but RONA+ has been better (in Toronto anyway)
