The experience at this store was wonderful this is because it is a big supermarket and the store sells many produce like sushi and many other things.

This used to be a good store . Until Gaylan beefed up security creating a repressive environment and took away 50% off items that apparently causes certain seniors and fixed income shoppers to not pay their way. Washrooms often resemble those found at the local gas station

I walked in the rain , stood for 15 min at cash in line while the only staff was overheard saying her coworker disappeared to the washroom and must of got lost.
While waiting I watched employees walking over to the other side and get drinks.
Confused I waited, finally the coworker returns.
She stands around then notices the screens not working on her till and says to me to order with the app.
I DO NOT HAVE THIS APP , I don't want it. I was intending on paying cash.
Another employee comes along and gets served.
I tell the employee that I have been standing, waiting for 15 min, why wouldn't anyone inform me about not serving the customers???
Staff seem to have no problems standing around talking to the staff while they prepare drinks for them.
I feel this is a big example of customer last , worst in class service.
Will not be back.

They advertise in their flyer, but don't sell boneless chicken breast by weight. Only Halal, which is fine to give that option, but a lot of people don't like the whole slitting animal throats while they're still alive thing. I have to imagine the majority of customers do not buy halal meat, so why is it the only option if you want to buy by weight? Even the deli staff couldn't make a package for the sale price. Really silly. Also the other review is 1000% right I've been in this store over 200 times and I have never, not ONCE got a basket at the front entrance. I actually saw a guy in a reflective jacket grab some baskets that were laying around after the check out area, stacked them and then shoved them under the fence next to the self checkouts, like where people who have finished put them and where no new customers can get them ?

Buy what's on sale if you have time to go to other stores or pony up $$$. Online shopping a great choice if downtown.
