Wow!! Maybe they just didn't like me This is the service I got:
I asked where I can find soil, the guy just told me where to go and he went right back to his crossword. I have been there twice and trust me, it won't be a third time. I get better service at Dollarama across the street where staff will go with me to show me where to find where is the product and it's not even their own business.

The hours posted online are incorrect and although the business has sent numerous requests to Google for it to be changed, it still isn't. Please call the store to confirm hours. Sunday 10AM - 3PM, Mon-Fri 9AM - 6PM and Saturday 9AM - 5PM.

Needed moving boxes so I called the store and asked if they were available, they were very helpful and gave me options. When I got to the store the worker assisted us in bringing the boxes down from the shelves. Overall great experience.

I’m happy to have this place in my neighbourhood. The customer service has always been great, for me. Not cloying or pushy, always ready to help, even talking me out of products that aren’t a good fit for me. When I’ve had to return or exchange an item, it’s been so easy. I’m glad to have a local place where I can pick up things for my DIY projects.

Extremely rude staff, won't look at you when you ask questions and they act as if you are doing them a favour for shopping there. They need a complete change of staff. Recommend that you shop elsewhere!

This is the worst Home Hardware I've ever been to. Customer service is absolutely non-existent. The only reason anyone goes to this store is out of sheer necessity/emergency. But you better know what you need, because no one will help you - no exaggeration. I've lived in this area for 16+ yrs and this place has never changed (unfortunately). I wish they would either get new ownership or close down and have another place open up that is actually happy to be part of this community.

The pipes under my kitchen sink detached over the long weekend and I was quoted over $300 to bring in a plumber. I instead took a photo of the pipes and walked over to Hillcrest Home Hardware.
The gentleman at the front desk walked me through exactly how to fix the issue, and even noticed that the washer on my pipe was missing and showed me exactly where to place it. He took out a spare pipe from the back and walked me through everything. I purchased a washer and wrench for $20, and received free tutorial.
My kitchen sink is now working good as new, no leaks. They saved me hundreds of dollars. I'm never going back to Home Depot!

Posted hours for winter are 9am every day. Went by at 10:30 but they were still closed. Have never had a great experience there on account of the owner being a miserable sod, but I'll go out of convenience. (Don't bother talking to the old guy, he doesn't care to help. Go in there knowing exactly what you want already.)But after walking 20 minutes to get there and finding it closed, I'll just turn to Amazon. I hope this business closes down so that a hungrier and more driven business owner can take the lease space already. Would rather not give this business my money.Dude, just retire already.
