A hidden gem of Toronto. One of a kind selection of clothing that can’t be found anywhere else with reasonable prices. Associates are so sweet and attentive and will show you all the secret finds if you ask. My favorite thrift store!

I have shopped here for about 2 years now, and I’m always so impressed with the vast selection of beautiful items!! The staff are so friendly too, it’s a very well-organized place, easy to find what you’re looking for, or maybe something you didn’t expect!

After knowing exile since my teens in the 90s, I got to bring my 10 year-old (with her Very Exacting Taste) to try and salvage a cosplay endeavour. We were treated to the wisdom and insight of Mr. Steven, who’s been there since Exile opened and who regaled us with stories while we figured out the Unfixable Things and fixed them with Exile Things. So grateful to have his care—thank you Ilana for pointing us in his direction, and ever grateful for Steven’s generosity and the crinoline that solved one of several Key Crisis in our epic saga.

We were Incredibly impressed by the excellent service & staff at this vintage store in Kensington market. The assistance we received was above and beyond and most importantly genuine. Kate and the two men at the cash were particularity kind and helpful and the entire staff seemed happy, working as a team. Definitely worth a visit for the best selection of cool items as well.

The basement is a hidden gem!! The guy that works there is absolutely lovely, he’s so passionate about helping others find the perfect piece. My cousin, brother, and I went thrift shopping for the first time and it’s safe to say we’ll all be returning ☺️
