I bought my third goldfish here and it was a very nice experience.
The staff were friendly and helpful; one staff member came up to me and asked if he could assist me as I was looking at water conditioning chemicals. He also turned on the lights over the betta fish so I could see them better...I thought the prices of the bettas were a bit high though, and I felt sad that they were in such tiny glass jars (I wanted to adopt all of them LOL)!
When I was ready to choose my little fish friend to take home, another staff member helped me quickly and professionally. They both seemed very knowledgeable and I felt confident about making a purchase here. The store was very clean overall which is a great thing. I bought a small young Black Moor and he's settled in nicely in my aquarium! I would definitely shop here again to support small business despite the slightly high prices.

This store is pretty huge and carries a lot over varieties of products and pets ranging from fish to hamsters to birds...etc. The staff are pleasant to interact with as well.
However, the prices are way too high. Almost like highway robbery. I've went to many independent small aquarium businesses like shrimp fever, aquapets, aqua house, aquatics and their prices were much more reasonable.
For example, here they are selling a fancy guppy for $18.99. Other small businesses sell a fancy guppy for under $10. Like ~$4.99

As soon as I walked in I saw a dead betta, then walking around I found multiple dead fish in different states of decay, this should be considered animal abuse! Also the prices are absolutely ridiculous, take the time and travel to big als don’t even waste your time!!

We've come here several times to buy feeders for our animals - crickets, to be precise. The first time, the smell coming from the insects was atrocious, we've never encountered this with crickets bought elsewhere. Our typically food motivated leopard gecko went on a hunger strike and refused to eat any of the crickets. The second time, much more recent, we got crickets once again, and within a day, I found little ant resembling insects on my desk and floor. While I initially blamed a new plant we bought, and quarantined it in our bathtub, the ants kept coming. It wasn't until I looked into the cricket enclosure (yeah, they get their own enclosure, they are living beings and live well until their time is up) and found it absolutely infested with these little ants. Crawling around the living AND INSIDE the several dead crickets.
I've seen other reviews about infestations and infections - trust them.
The prices are steeper than petsmart or pet value, but I'd have no issue with that if I didn't currently have pests in my home.

Pro: good variety of fishes and plants. Close to downtown location.
cons:Very expensive and not quality fishes aside from the unfriendliness of staff. we bought glo fish and 2 female guppies that died in 4 weeks while the ones we bought from other stores still alive to this day and last the plants that came with snail eggs. They are triple the price of either pet smart or big Als.

I went in with my friend thinking to look at cute fishes just to find the so many fishes trapped in small tanks. Fishes are animals of the sea and deserve to be able to swim in large areas of water, if the owner are going to be selling them they should at least give the fishes bigger spaces to swim in. Me and my friend noticed a fish that was bigger than others but was inside the same small tank as the other small tanks. Please give the fishes larger tanks.

Fish are healthy and they have a good variety. I wish that their fish were younger but other than that, it's been great!

I have been here many times and purchased 2 male Bettas, tetras, multiple guppies, several tanks and a variety of plants, equipment, and accessories. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. The price of the livestock is a bit higher but the guppies seem a little hardier and have more unique colourings than I've seen anywhere else. If something is priced too high or won't work for me, I don't buy it even if it is suggested just like in any other customer interaction. None of my fish have been sick ... In any case I wouldn't buy fish that looked sick or unhealthy. To me this is a unique and valuable independent fish store that I have a good relationship with.
