“A great family owned business that always goes the extra mile. Whenever I need any meats, I email them and it's delivered in a day or two. I'm too lazy to build my own shopping cart? No problem, they take care of me. Love this place.”
“Hole in the wall korean butcher. So many kimchi and banchan options which are reasonably priced. The frozen meats and marinated meats were pricey in my opinion. Would go back for special occasions/dinners.”
“Best butcher in the city!
Go in at least weekly with all the variety they have and always friendly service with recommendations on recipes.
If you haven't stopped by and live around, I'd highly recommend stopping by.”
“Was very helpful on the phone when I called in to get some harder to find items for a dinner. Pick up was painless and the staff were very friendly. Definitely will use again.”

2055 Yonge St, Toronto“My experiences at The Butcher's Son over the past year have been consistently positive. The grass-fed beef is a highlight, offering a superior taste and quality that is hard to find elsewhere. Their friendliness and courtesy make each visit pleasant, showing a genuine interest in both their products and customer satisfaction. For those looking for a quick, satisfying meal, their freshly made smash burgers and other hot sandwiches are a delicious protein boost!”
“I've been to roast a few times and will offer this advice: Speak to the butcher. They are very knowledgeable about their products and give great recommendations. A couple times I've outlined an upcoming event, or asked for their advice on a dinner idea, and with their guidance always knocked it out of the park. Quality product and people.”
“Easily some of the best sandwiches in the city. Most Sandos come in at under $15 so they’re not cheap but damn are they good. I haven’t tried their meat counter yet but they also have a great frozen and prepped food section.”
“Very happy to have this place close by. Great quality meat and eggs from local farms. Absolutely worth it to spend a couple bucks more than the grocery store to get infinitely better quality and also without supporting factory farming. This is the only place I buy meat from!”
“Best butcher on Roncy - great service, wide selection of high quality meats both fresh and frozen. They're quite helpful too if you've got questions or want some help. All very high quality even the sandwiches which are made to order and very delicious.”
“You can buy meat that is in excellent quality at this store. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the meat that you get. I highly recommend coming here for all your meat shopping!”
“Absolutely thrilled with my experience at Di Liso’s Meats! I recently hosted a dinner party and needed the perfect cuts of beef. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to understand my needs. They recommended stunning ribeye steaks and some flavourful flank steaks that wowed my guests.
The quality of the meat was outstanding - tender and fresh. They even shared cooking tips that helped me elevate the dishes. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming, making the whole shopping experience enjoyable.
I can’t recommend Di Liso’s Meats enough! If you're looking for expert advice and top-notch products, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be returning for my future gatherings!”
“A stalwart of Bloor West Village has always been my go to place for fresh meats. Proper old-fashioned style butcher shop with friendly staff and high quality produce that is often cheaper than supermarkets. Bob was particularly helpful and carried my purchase to the door as I had my dog with me. 10/10 service.”
“I've been many times, bought maybe 50lb of beef and 50lb of chicken total - quality has been very good, more consistent than grocery stores. They will vacuum seal meat for free on request, which is great for a sous vide brisket, ribs, or steak.”

1097A Yonge St, Toronto“UPDATE 05/28/2024: The store manager ended up calling me and apologizing for the mistake in pricing on the website and honoured the original price I paid by giving me a refund and also offering me a couple of free tenderloins next time I come in. I'm updating my review from 1 star to 4 stars because that is truly quality customer service that I don't see anymore, in addition to the cuts of meat being wonderful. I'm glad the store is taking accountability for their mistakes. I still have deducted one star because they really need to update their website with current pricing and until they do, I'm sure they're going to keep facing the same issue with other customers.

Absolute robbery. Placed an order online for pick up and when I came to pick up my order (which was originally $206) and they told me the price on the website was “wrong” and that my actual total was $256. If your website is wrong then take it down. This is false and misleading advertising and I’m surprised your shop is still in business with these kind of unethical practices.”
“As a lover of cheese, I had heard about Cheese Boutique in Toronto's west end by way of a dear friend who previously worked there. Due to time and circumstance, I had never made the time to explore it, until now.
My first impression was that of Fatos Pristinë (the patriarch of the family-owned business) welcoming me in the middle of Ripley Avenue, inviting me to stay and watch the Euro Cup soccer matches that Sunday afternoon in their Sports Tent. That, and the custom-decorated Fiat 500 (my favourite car) at the front of the store, made for a wonderfully positive first impression.
Once inside the store, I discovered cheese from the two heritage regions where my father was from: Pecorino Sardo (Sardinia) and Mozarella di Bufala (Campania). The Mozarella di Bufala was a bit pricey ($10 for one ball), but it was the creamiest most delicious ball of cheese ever made - Heaven.
Another joy was discovering racks of olive oil from Sardinia. Usually, it is difficult to find even one brand of Sardinian olive oil in stores, but Cheese Boutique had more selection on two shelves than what I ever saw in the old country. Fatos joined me again for a bit watching the Switzerland-Germany game (ended in 1-1 tie).
At the end of the soccer match, I left Cheese Boutique with the same sense of longing as when leaving my family overseas, with a promise that I will return, again and again. Grazie mille per tutto. Faleminderit për gjithçka.
P.S. Thanks to everyone who helped me obtain the book "For the Love of Cheese", and to meet the author himself Afrim Pristinë.”
