A stalwart of Bloor West Village has always been my go to place for fresh meats. Proper old-fashioned style butcher shop with friendly staff and high quality produce that is often cheaper than supermarkets. Bob was particularly helpful and carried my purchase to the door as I had my dog with me. 10/10 service.

Unfit working & living conditions, poor management, horrific treatment of employees. I'd give zero stars if possible. The Ministry of Labour Health & Safety would have a ball with this place.

Wow. Just called this butcher to ask about ordering some Beef Rouladen (any butcher should know this), and the woman on the other end says “what the HELL is THAT??!!” Pretty much all I need to know about their service.

If you’re looking for a friendly, old fashioned and helpful place for your meat, this ain’t the place you want! Getting the clerk to help was like pulling teeth, and the attitude, well let me just say that I will not want him ever touching food that my family would eat. One star far too generous!

Just left the shop this afternoon, Dec 20th and felt compelled to share this experience. I walked in mid-afternoon and there were 2 customers (including myself) and 7 employees (including the cashier). One employee was serving the other customer and the other 5 employees were talking amongst themselves or preparing meat for the display case. None of them decided to approach the waiting customer depsite having seen me walk in. One of the employees place some meat into the display case and then walked away from me, rather than approach me. After waiting an appropriate amount of time, I literally had to raise my arm and wave it to get someone to speak with me. I have been a resident of Bloor West for 28 years and it will be another 28 years before I return. If you like to receive good customer service then this is not the butcher shop for you.
