I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional service I received at Blacktoe. I had the opportunity to be assisted by Reggie, an exemplary professional whose attentiveness and willingness to help were remarkable.
Reggie not only provided excellent recommendations on the store’s products but also demonstrated a genuine commitment to supporting my development as a runner. His guidance during my training for the TCS Marathon was essential in helping me feel prepared and confident. I am deeply thankful for all the assistance and motivation he offered throughout this journey.
I am very satisfied with my experience at Blacktoe and grateful to have met someone as dedicated and competent as Reggie.

Recently stopped by on a trip of mine and was beyond impressed! The store was super clean and organized! Although it was a tiny space it was so tidy and well laid out! They carry my favourite gels so it’s always worth a stop when I pass through! Thanks for always being consistent!

I did not have the experience most people seemed to have had.
I came in a while ago looking for a good shoe that would be good for mostly walking with intermittent bursts of running. All the sales rep really did was bring out shoes, saying “try this” and pointed me in the direction of a very cushioned shoe. I eventually decided on the Saucony Triumphs, a running recovery shoe on the recommendation of the sales while I was looking for more of a walking shoe, which were helpful with the lower back pain I was experiencing, but caused me bad shin splints which I had come to find out later were as a result of a bad fit. Im not sure if an extremely cushioned shoe is what is best for me and my needs. The sales representative didnt really bother to ask me any questions, only kind of awkwardly stood there as I was trying on shoes. I just wish my sales experience was handled by someone who took the time to ask me questions to find out what would have been the BEST shoe for me, especially at these price points.

I needed a proper running vest for my first ever half marathon that is coming up soon. The staff here are so nice and knowledgeable. They helped me select the perfect running vest and taught me how to fasten it up properly. Thank you for your help!!! :) I can't wait to try out my new vest! ??♀️ So many selections of shoes too!!!

First time doung a shoe fit and getting a brand new pair of runners for my race. Sean immediately helped me out and answered all of my questions. What an experience I had at Blacktoe!
First off they had a great selection of shoes which was really fun to see and to be able to get your hands on them.
Second, the information I received from Antti(hope I spelt your name right) was top notch!
He had me try on at least 6 pairs of shoes and really took the time to make sure they were the perfect fit.
This was hands down the best experience I have ever had with getting a new pair of running shoes. I walked out with a pair of New Balance More v5 and I am so impressed with them. Truly took his time to ensure my new shoes were a perfect fit.
I HIGHLY recommend Blacktoe Running for your next purchase.

I had a terrific experience at your King west shop in Toronto. A gentleman by the name of Andy was beyond helpful. To be honest, it can be very difficult to find great customer service in Toronto, but I was blown away at how attentive and mindful Andy was. While I didn’t try a bunch of shoes I did try a handful and Andy made sure I found the right pair for my feet.
Thank you to him again and your shop for the friendly and welcoming environment you’ve created.

The store is great and most of the staff is awesome.
But unfortunately the time I took my “new to running friend” to the store, we had terrible customer service by a woman staff member. I was disappointed especially since I really wanted my friend to feel the awesomeness of the running community and how supportive and welcoming it is. But we experienced the opposite - the said staff member was least interested in helping, and didn’t provide any guidance whatsoever - for my friend who’s new to running the experience was disheartening and I feel bad for him.
I do want to note that this probably seems like an isolated experience (also it was a Saturday) seeing other reviews, but it wasn’t nice to be on the receiving end.
At the same time I spoke to other staff member and they amazed me at how good they were at assisting.
