Looking for iPhone cover and checked out Leaside Best Buy not expecting much but fortunately the sales rep, Menelik, was great. Not pushy and just offered great knowledge / insight and I was in and out with a new case / cover in 10 mins.

The associates at the Best But Leaside makes shopping there a joy. They will offer assistance but are never pushy when I'm only browsing.
Sanjay and the entire team on the mobility desk are very knowlegable and helpful. They also provided assistance to a customer who was feeling quite ill. These 5 stars are based on many years of positive experiences.

Poor customer service. I went in to choose between a macbook air and macbook pro. There were so many staff around, more than customers, but none willingly approached customers to help. I asked one of them I need help with macbooks. I explained to him my main concern is the weight difference between air and pro as I carry the laptops when I travel and asked if I could have the two side by side to hold and compare the weight. He said let me ask my manager. Came back after 10 min and said no!!
no explanation provided. I drove to the apple store. Got a friendly guy who brought out both laptops with a smile. I picked macbook pro and bought it! Still can’t believe why BestBuy would waste customer’s time like this and lose profit on it too!

There is an employee in the store who stands in the bathroom and watches you use a urinal while holding a phone. Very weird. Not sure if they call it store security or creeper.

Zainab, Keer, and Menelik were outstanding. They spent 3.5hrs helping me move a small business plan from Rogers to Bell, and buying new phones, etc. I can't speak highly enough of how friendly they were, and everyone else in the phone department, particularity end of day on the Saturday of Black Friday.
I'll do all my future phone transactions here at Best Buy over the Rogers or Bell stores.

Yesterday, November 24th, I had a strange experience at the store. I’ll try to keep it short, lol. About seven days ago, I purchased VR headsets for my son for around $620. When I bought them, I told the employee that my son is 10 years old, and if the headset gives him headaches, I would return it. She told me I had 30 days.
My son didn’t like it and only used it for one day, so I went back to return it. The person I dealt with was named Kimberly. As soon as I said I wanted to return it, the first thing she asked was whether I opened the box. I said yes, and she immediately said, “Nope, we can’t return it, we can only give you store credit.”
I was shocked, because I was sure the return policy is 30 days. She really tried to fool me—probably because I have an accent, and when I started talking, she assumed I didn’t know my rights. But I did, and she couldn’t get away with it. She had to refund my money.
Could she pull this on someone who grew up in Canada? Of course not. So be careful and know your rights. $620 is not a small amount of money. If it were $50, I might have accepted store credit, but this was crazy.
And guess what? After she realized I knew the policy, she said, “This time we’ll accept it, but not next time,” lol. It was annoying but also kind of funny. Customer service was zero. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

I just wanted to share my amazing experience at Best Buy Leaside. Sindhu from Meta went above and beyond to assist us. She was incredibly informative, helpful, and professional throughout our entire visit.
Sindhu took the time to understand our needs and provided excellent recommendations. Her knowledge and expertise were impressive, and we felt confident in our purchase .
The service was top-notch, and we're so grateful for Sindhu's dedication to customer satisfaction. If you're looking for a great experience in the Meta department at Best Buy, ask for Sindhu at the Leaside location!
