I ordered some stuff online an old address by accident. I had opted to get it shipped lettermail (no tracking, no insurance) so I had just taken the loss and was planning on reordering. The order bounced back from the post office to 401 Games and they kindly offered to reship it to me at no cost, even though it was 100% my error. Just wanted to shout out this above and beyond customer service! Every order I’ve made with them has been perfect ❤️

I had a good experience buying from 401... Until I ran into a problem and had to deal with their customer support.
I bought a Pokemon TCG tin that happened to be short a couple packs. No big deal. I emailed 401 about it, they told me to get in touch with Pokemon Support. Pokemon Support then told me it was the responsibility of the retailer to give a refund/exchange in those situations. So I emailed 401 again and told them what Pokemon Support told me. No response. After a few days, I tried calling a couple times. Nobody picked up, so I sent them another email.
Shortly after sending the follow-up email, I received an email saying "Sorry for the wait, I'll pass this along to management."
The next day, I received an extremely defensive email, in which they insisted that the product had not been tampered with and that it was probably a manufacturing error. Fine. I never alleged anything of the sort, I was just passing along what Pokemon Support said.
In the end, they said that there was nothing they could do. So if 401 sells you a defective product, it seems they'll just shrug and say "Not our problem."

A business with amazing ethics. They have good sales throughout the year. They have updated inventory all the time and keeps up with all the latest merchandise that comes out. Their customer service is amazing and quick whenever someone runs into an issue that requires resolving. They grade cards professionally and offer reasonable buy prices if you ever need to sell cards. Their payment platforms are diverse, flexible, and easy to use. Keep up the amazing work!

I recently visited this card shop and had a very disappointing experience. The prices on their cards are ridiculously high compared to what you can find online or at other local shops. I also tried trading in some cards, and they offered me a laughably low price (50-60% market ? ). It felt more like they were trying to take advantage of customers rather than support the community. I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone looking for fair prices or honest trades. ?

buy list is a scam, i submitted pack fresh cards and they marked the expensive ones as HP. i’m proficient in examining card grades. seems 401 will do anything to save a buck. Their buy prices are already low ball, but then once you submit and drop them off you have no way to oppose their word unless you just pick up your cards and reject the offer. They’re basically giving you an ultimatum saying accept our lowball prices or just take your cards back. I had a couple old school cards ( in PLD ) mixed in with the new (NM) ones so they took an opportunity to make it look like the other cards I submitted were in rough shape when they were in immaculate condition. I don’t suggest to submit here at all but if you do keep your old school submission, separate from brand new cards, they will try to finesse you. total, they knocked my submission from $227 down to $101. I've been shopping here through their online store for almost a year now, and recently I've had a bad experience. I ordered one collector pack, three set boosters, and one draft BOX all from Innistrad Midnight Hunt.
The delivery was fast, just 2-3 days, but when I got the box I noticed it was lighter than it should've been. To my surprise, everything was there except the draft box, instead I was sent a single pack.
I thought to myself, sure that's an honest mistake. Customer support was very quick on getting back to me and said they'd ship it out ASAP. I got the next package and also felt that it was lighter than it should be. Turns out they sent 2 set boosters from Innistrad after I told them specifically what I was missing.
Finally, the third attempt they sent the right product. If you plan on shopping here I recommend getting the items in store, it seems like I'm not the only one in these reviews with issues regarding shipping sending out the right items. They also didn't compensate me for the third time, so that was upsetting.

In store presence and feel has declined a lot since a few years ago. Far fewer games at this location. No longer a must see in person visit - but would still shop online as the prices and selection are near unrivalled in Canada.

Such great customer service!! Everyone I talked to was so nice! Even though I went there 30 minutes to close, if it bothered them, it didn’t show! Will definitely come here in person again!

It's honestly an amazing place to shop. I've been buying yugioh cards here for years at this point. Everything you need is right here and for a very reasonable price. Even if they don't have it right away, don't worry because it'll be back in stock soon. My packages always arrive on time. I meant to make this review awhile ago, I'm sorry it took me a while. I've shown lots of my friends 401 games and I hope one day I can check it out in person.
