I'm writing this review because I just had a stellar experience over the phone with the front desk. Our company made a booking online, but needed to make a change. Turns out there was also a technical / IT error with the booking - not their fault, but I'm certainly glad I called them! It felt like the front desk agent went above-and-beyond to investigate the issue and had our company rebooked easily. Our company books 100+ hotels across Canada and I appreciate that this hotel front desk helped alleviate some booking pain.

we stayed there for a night about 10 days back, the hotel has a nice cosy atmosphere.the rooms are comfortable
the front desk and staff is friendly and helpfull, Yasir was very cooperatve and he facilated us because of my husband disability
Moreover he guided us in taking the tour of the city
the lake is only 5 min away,and we had a beautiful sunrise view
there
the breakfast was decent and they provided us with whateverwe asked for

Absolutely wonderful experience! The staff are extremely helpful and closely monitored the surrounding parking lot which we greatly appreciated. Very nice rooms as well!

Would definitely stay here again! Service was great, room was clean aside from some sticky marks on the floor. Sizing of the room was amazing! Location was a bit sketchy, seen what seemed to be a homeless guy on drugs in the parking lot. He didn’t bother us but it sure scared our children and rushed us to go inside (it was dark out).

Front desk staff was nothing but rude and confrontational. Had to cancel my stay but they didn’t actually cancel it leading to a $115 cancelation fee! Had it waived but now I’m being told I have to wait 15 business days upwards to 30! My other friends that I came up with ended up staying in the two bed suites where they saw blood stains and were met with an unpleasant odour. I remember reading the reviews and ignoring them because of the price but save yourselves the time!

We were so excited to stay at this hotel. We booked by Expedia put debit card info and it was booked. When we got there, told the we only accept credit card! That's fine but you should mention it on your website!There was a sign on the wall that if you pay debit card then bank gonna hold that amount which makes total sense. But they said no! just credit card! so we ended up leaving sadly.

I'll start with the ONLY thing I didn't like, I went to breakfast at 9am and there was almost nothing. Not sure if it's because they ran out of stuff but I would recommend not counting on the breakfast here. Okay now for everything else! Very nice staff, quick check in, excellent amount of privacy and the room!!!! Holy cow the room is SO NICE! they clearly just renovated and it is absolutely gorgeous I was so impressed that it looked that nice and was such an incredible price. Highly recommend. Be aware though, neighborhood is dodgy, not good at night for lone women

It was so cool, cute little rooms with an airy feel. We stayed on two different occasions during our trip and was not disappointed in either case. The hotel was undergoing a branding change and we hit the tail end of renovations. Everything was clean and fresh, comfortable beds with updated electrical for usb connections. Well located to some wonderful restaurants. Easy to access with good safe parking. Don’t be put off by the location , we walked to our dinner reservations both times and felt very safe doing so.

Room was spacious and funky decor, very comfortable bed, nice thick towels. Quiet. A bit of a view of the lake. As others said the area directly around it isn't great, but it's close to the lake and a few streets to good food - this is Thunder Bay in my experience. Staff were quite friendly and helpful when I had questions. Only downside I felt was the breakfast isn't worth it when McDonald's is next door - they'd have to really step up the breakfast game to make it worth having.

I arrived August 14, late evening and when I got to my room the door was ajar. The front desk staff said that was not normal but probably the cleaning staff forgot to bolt the door. ???The A/C was set at 17 C and the only way I could control it was to unplug the unit, and plug back in to adjust later on.The bed was comfortable and it was fairly quiet, but the glass shower door entrance was so narrow I had to squeeze past it (no, I am not huge). The shower also had no shelf or anywhere to place items, other than the shower floor.Overall, it felt a bit unfinished and disorganized, as if renos had just been completed but it was not yet ready for guests.

We had already checked in then 2 or 3 hours later we were told not to go back to the room because it was reserved for someone else. Are you kidding? Everywhere elsw was full and the front desk said to wait an hour and still nothing after 2am. Especially in a location it's at for that price. Would not recommend.
