I always order the birthday cakes without that stupid pudding the center. Not one of my kids or grandkids like it. I specifically ordered it with the nutriwhip filling not pudding. I ended paying for a cake that got thrown in the garbage. Each person took a small pce but no one actually aye it. They nibbled and totally avoided the wet gummy center......... METRO NEEDS TO MAKE SURE THAT THE PERSON ANSWERING THE PHONE TO TAKE ORDERS CAN SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND ENGLISH WELL ENOUGH TO GET IT RIGHT........ We will not go back .... and as I said I always get my birthday cakes here. The slabs of cake have gotten thinner and drier......maybe that's why they need the moisture and make mush!!!!!!!!!??
The rest of the store is usually really good. Fresh produce, seafood, and meat. Great selection for the size of the store. The Deli section is always excellent .....
My last review of Metro grocery store was 5*'s and praising all the employees .....

I went to the store at 9:30 in the morning and there was only one till open and some of the self checkouts were also closed. Long lineups in the till as well as self checkout. This is the same every morning. Nobody over there even cared or bothered about it. When some people asked them to open more tills then their reply was we don’t have enough staff today so they that’s not possible. If this is the situation I won’t go there any time.

Prices were much higher, 2.99 for a can of Campbell's tomato soup, give me a break. Also they have taken away their point bonuses. The spend $125 get 100 points has not happened. Last week was spend $60 get 20 points. Big deal!

The meat supervisor prioritized speed over quality. To be honest, the meat section is very contaminated, and the leftover meats are repackaged after a few days without any discount. All prices are labeled as "special"; which is completely untrue.
