Sometimes out of stock of some items or some fruit that is past its prime but mostly excellent choice and quality. The signs in each aisle are all the way in the middle and can't be read from the ends of the aisles. Really bad design.

I love this location. I literally drive double the distance to this one instead of the one near me because the two types of ways they do salmon at the hot food counter. They do a sundried tomato and a honey dill. Sooo much better then the lemon herb style at the location near me. Please keep making these as they are delicious!

Staff are all usually quite nice, but I’m mildly annoyed with not being allowed to mute the self checkout, and have before with no issues - it’s too loud and I don’t need the prices of what I’m buying announced.
Good quality produce and meat, ok prices
Parking is sometimes difficult when busy, if you don't mind walking a bit further try parking closer to the back

Bakery people ignored me, despite definitely seeing me and making eye contact a few times. There was literally no one other customers waiting and two of them there. Not a good experience.

Saw some garden flowers outside of the store on Bayview Ave. My leg is broken so getting in and out of the car is very difficult. I pulled up rolled down my window and a Longo's garden person smiled at me and said can I help you. I explained it was too painful for me to walk around and pick flowers fur my garden. He asked me my price range and kindly offered to bring flowers to my open window for me to choose. I asked him his name and he told me his name is Manny. He was absolutely delightful, helpful and very accommodating. He picked out two beautiful plants. I handed him my credit card and without me asking he offered to put down plastic across my trunk to prevent my trunk from getting dirty. Longo's manager please acknowledge this superb employee that you are fortunate to have.

When we moved to Bayview and John 33 years ago, we were thrilled to have a Longo's within walking distance. It was a large independent grocer with great variety and the store was walking distance.
So much has changed since then, especially since Longo's was bought up by Empire. There is actually less variety available. Instead, you have more of the same offerings taking up self space. At the same time, you have eliminated many products.
One product that I especially enjoyed was Tropicana Reduced Sugar. Instead, you have shelf after shelf of your own product. While good, it has too much sugar. Why not offer something for those who cannot handle the sugar. Or perhaps come up with your own low-sugar orange juice.
All in all, I see quality offerings going downhill
As for staffing, at times a few cashiers standing around doing nothing. When you get a cashier they often let you bag it yourself.
