I having a great experience for my model Y collision repair at Carstar. They are patient and guide me throughout the insurance claim process. They also support me on a minor issue I experienced after they delivered the car to me.

My insurance company, SGI, recommended that I use Carstar for claim related repairs. I visited them in mid August for an appraisal and received a quote for aftermarket parts. I insisted on OEM parts. However, they dismissed my request and assured me that aftermarket parts would be no different than OEM parts. However, it took a whole 2 months to receive these parts and my car was scheduled for repair only in mid October. The repair work just took about 7 days. But on delivery of the car, I noticed that my front bumper did not align with the piece below it. When I pointed this out they checked and told me that aftermarket parts are not going to align and that I needed to get OEM. Well, being the experts, if they knew this in the first place, they should have got those instead since the insurance company would have covered the costs. Now they’re asking me to haggle with the insurance company to get the OEM replacement. This is a waste of customer’s time and is not the kind of service I expected to receive from a well known place like carstar. Also looks like I’ll now have to spend from my pocket to get the right parts that fit my bumper.Edit: Carstar later called me in and replaced the front bumper with OEM parts at a nominal cost. However, SGI (my insurance company) did not approve the replacement with OEM parts. Carstar says that they tried to contact my insurance company asking them to approve it. Therefore I ended up paying the extra amount. Carstar replaced these quickly and provided good service. I would recommend them further and will visit if I have any car related issues in future.

I got my car painted here and it’s was done perfect. I got my car back and it looked brand new. They have friendly staff and State of the art facility. I will go back if i need any work done.

CarStar really went above and beyond in fixing my Tesla Model S. They did more than asked and left my car sparkling clean inside and out. After a series of bad experiences with other garages, this was a really nice change. Also really like the respectful and gentle way everyone there will treat you. Can be intimidating/creepy for women to deal with all-male staff etc but not the case here.
