Tomato soup was for 1.79 and she gave it for 1.99. She said there's price 1.99 under bottom of shelf but as per sticker on box it was 1.79 and she couldn't honour the price . As a good customer service they should've honoured the price.

Only 3 stars as I am never able to walk out with everything I wanted to buy. The stocking needs to get better.

They carry almost every thing that you'd be looking for in an Indian supermarket, and the items are decently priced. On top that, their curries from the hot food section are remarkably good!
Special recognition to staff member Shivani for being friendly, polite and dedicated!

Can’t review this store bad because I have been customer since a year and I have lot of memories with this shop but today when I came I noticed that the snacks section is full of gujrati products and brands. Can’t find haldiram or other brands. Feels like you are in Gujrati store not indian store.
Just a business tip: focus on variety and brandnames for mass sale instead of cost cutting.
Thanks

Took samosa to have from Bakery and headed home. Once I was home in next 10 mins I heated them for a 30 seconds and I felt it was stinking. And I opened the samosa to see it was sticky as if it was made 5 to 6 days back. I called health canada and they will be doing checkins as well to see how and when them make before selling. I called Swadesh back and they still say it's fresh. And called me back after 1 hour saying throw that and we will refund you.

Be prepared to accept below standard quality of food
I brought packets of Ganesh brand KHAKHRA, which were bad, and smelling, I tried to return 2 unopened packs for other items, they did not have nice biscuits, nor the
Bon Bourne biscuits, nor the Girnar ready tea packs, they will not refund me that 4$ , in cash, never have I experienced such bad customer service .
No more visiting this store

Swadesh Supermarket is hands down one of the best Indian grocery stores I’ve been to! The customer service here is exceptional – the staff is always welcoming, helpful, and ready to assist with any queries.
The variety of Indian products they offer is impressive. The fresh produce section is also great, offering a range of vegetables and fruits. One of the standout features of the store is their dedicated pooja items section. It’s fully stocked with everything you could need for religious rituals – from diyas and incense to kumkum and other essentials. It’s so convenient to have everything in one place, especially when preparing for festivals or daily prayers. Whether you're doing a quick run for groceries or preparing for a special occasion, this is the place to go. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Indian products and a pleasant shopping experience!
