I have been going to Browns for 20 some years but lately I see they are selling expired product at regular prices. Please check expiry date on everything you buy.

Not only do they have outrageous pricing (PC brand mac and cheese 3 for $6 as a FLYER FEATURE while KD is a 3 for $4.98 as one of many examples) but the staff do not bag your items, they do not know what they are doing half the time, but there are FLIES all over the baked goods and no one seems to care!
One of the worst grocery stores Ottawa!

Premium prices without being a premium grocer.
Expired products.
Poor quality produce.
Even more expensive than Metro.
Go to No Frills, Superstore or Food Basic for the exact same products at cheaper prices or save more money at Walmart.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but felt like it today. Went to get groceries at 8 pm on a Sunday. The prices are higher than most, but I like the store and how it’s set up. The thing that turned me off today is that the cashier didn’t offer to bag anything or even attempt to help. He proceeds to slow roll scanning the order so I could do it. Meanwhile others are standing around the cash. For the money I spend there, this is the basic customer service I expect… at least ask me and offer and not just stand there as I hurry to bag my groceries with customers behind me. Annoyed!

Typical independent where prices are high. Self checkout was cumbersome on items that were discounted.

Quality is good but prices are fairly high. It's hard to find a deal these days. I think that they have slowed down on giving deals in the current economic climate.

Decent store, but I don't like it as much as Metro. The veggies are soso, pricey, and they lose an extra star for having the tiniest bunches of green onions I have ever seen. About 6 inches long, skinny, and not many in a bunch but still costing as much as a proper bunch. All but about 2 inches of the green tops had been cut off leaving mostly the white part. Clearly someone is missing the whole point of buying green onions!

ALL tomatoes were over ripe.
I'm boycotting Loblaws except for my cereal brand, which I can't find anywhere else. Prices high, produce low.

I used to run the meat department here so I am a bit biased, but seriously we have the best meat department around anywhere

It is a very nice store for upscale Stittsville, but its owned by Loblaws, so visits are infrequent.

Dissapointed with the service today.I got voltaren x strength 100 ml which the shelf price was 17.99.It rang in at 21.99 and I mentioned it to the cashier. She had a runner go check the price as I followed him ,and he too said it was 17.99.The cashier ,who had a hard time speaking english, then asked for I think was a supervisor ,and i thought i heard her tell her there was something with the code. She then goes away and comes back to say 21.99 to the cashier, without giving me a chance to talk to her,and takes off like a bat out of you know what.I told the cashier we already knew what it was scanning at,but NOT the same price as on the shelf. She just kept saying "the code, the code"Maybe it was an honest mistake, but I have my doubts. There's a law and it has been out for many years to protect the consumer, where if a wrong price is rang to what is advertised,10 dollars and under is yours for a penny and anything over 10 dollars is to be reduced by 10 from the correct price. All the stores are aware of this but only if you bring it up,will they do something about it.I didn't have time to go chasing the super today, but I felt I wasnt going to let this go as many stores make so much more profit from consumers that just "let it go"or don't notice until they get home.Needless to say,I didn't buy it.
