I just had such a strange interaction at this store! I grew up in the area and my mom has purchased appliances from Nickersons and I’ve heard great reviews about their customer service.
I work in service so I know it’s nice to let shoppers browse without pestering, but in this instance I felt as though I was bothering the staff member! I came in to look for a small fridge for a rental unit, and had my eye on a Frigidaire one listed on the website. The lady who I spoke with told me they don’t carry that one, it’d be at least a couple weeks to be delivered. No problem. I went to look at a fridge on the floor to check out the size and compare, called my mum, came back to ask her about a model listed on the website which was very similar to the one on the floor. She abruptly told me “we don’t carry that one”.
It’s my first time buying a fridge so I thought to come to this smaller business as I was told the staff are helpful, sadly that was not my experience in the slightest. The lady working was cold and seemed annoyed by my questions. After her quick “we don’t carry that one” (it’s on the website - is it that weird for me to ask?), and no help from anybody else, I decided to leave to go to Best Buy. As I was leaving she pleasantly added some more information about the fridge and I think said thank you or something along those lines but by then I was over it. I found it ironic she suddenly became pleasant as I was leaving.
It would have been so easy for her to have a little bit of patience with me to explain the difference between the fridges I was looking at, but I felt like I was inconveniencing her. No other staff members offered any sort of assistance or checked if I had questions - at big box stores I’ve found the employees quite helpful so I guess I will stick to purchasing appliances there.
Disappointing as I wanted to purchase from a local business in my area.

I appreciate honest sales people. My fridge broke down and the compressor completely broke, so
I went shopping for a new fridge. Rather than the guy selling me a fridge he asked me questions about my old one and directed me to the appliance company’s website that has a out of warranty program that is capped at $349.00 to fix the fridge ! I am soooo appreciative. Rather than me spending $$$$ to buy a new fridge I was able to get my old one fixed for a fraction of the cost ! Now that is integrity . When I actually need a new appliance I will not hesitate to use Nickerson!

We just recently had a 3 year old 3800.00 GE Fridge stop working. After finding out that it was not repairable I had called Nickersons to see if there was anything they could do in helping me replace the unit. To be very clear I was not looking for a free replacement as we were outside of the 1 year warranty. I had expressed my frustration that after only 3 years our fridge was garbage. I was in NO way angry, rude or unprofessional in any way. After no call back from our sales person after leaving a message(and I realize it’s not their responsibility ), I called back and spoke with reception. After explaining our situation and informing that I was just looking for some help (possibly a contact for GE that I may not be able to get on my own) or maybe a sale price on a replacement refrigerator. I had very clearly stated that I was not expecting Nickersons to replace the unit for free. I was just after a little help. After consulting with sales, reception said that they were told I needed to speak with one of the owners. When reception went to get one of the owners reception came back with the 1 800 number for GE! That was my help. No one would speak with me period. I asked 3 times if I could please speak the owner but no here’s the 800 number.
Again just after a little help and received absolutely nothing. We are not new customers with Nickersons and have purchased multiple pieces over the years.
Well never again I’ll tell ya! If my own small business had customer relations like this I wouldn’t have any customers. Absolutely horrible service!
Will never buy another product there.

Idc how busy you are, when I call your store I shouldn't have to listen to 3 minutes of automated messaging telling me how your store handles covid then sit on hold for another 11 minutes (15 mins total) before I hung up!??

Epitome of customer service, bar none.We’ve purchased 3 appliances recently and are extremely happy about whole process from showroom presentation to delivery and installation. We had a very minor issue, and service technician was at our home to rectify it within 15 minutes of our phone call. Unbelievable.We wouldn’t buy appliances from anywhere else.Thank you to all at Nickerson’s!

They had most of the parts that I needed to fix my old washing machine very economically. Marilyn (in the parts department) even found a second-hard part that did the trick in finishing the work. The other staff were warm and personable. If I need a new appliance or need to fix another one I think I'll come here first.

I highly recommend Nickerson Appliances for any/all appliance needs because their customer service was fantastic. We purchased fridge, stove, dishwasher, and washer/dryer as part of a home renovation project. From sales, to delivery, to install the team was awesome. A day or two after the delivery, we experienced a highly unusual manufacturers defect with the fridge. Nickerson’s immediate response and customer service was outstanding, and a replacement was delivered within 24 hours. Thank you to the entire team for all your help.
