My experience with Best Buy, as of late has been very negative. Approximately two weeks ago, my older sister had purchased a cell phone and the salesman who was assisting my sister lied to her, because what my sister wanted was to have her landline phone number on her cell phone, and still be able to keep her landline number as well, and the salesman made her believe that it was possible and that it went through, without a problem, but accordion to Cogeco, which is my sister's landline provider, they claimed that it wasn't possible for her to have her own number back on her house line, and in my opinion, the salesman at best buy, lied to my sister, just to make the sale., as a result she is no longer with Koodo and she'll be no longer shopping at best buy ! I highly do not recommend shopping at Best Buy !!!!!!!

Criegh was super helpful, very knowledgeable, courteous, and patient when helping me find another monitor for one of my work spaces... I was impressed. I am passionate about top notch customer service and Criegh is the epitome of just that! He deserves a raise! Nice and smooth experience at the check out by a lovely cashier name Eva. All in all, would definitely recommend this Best Buy location!

One of the worst customer service I experienced.
I went to buy a quest 3 and stood there for about 15 min before I actually saw someone and asked for help. The person told me he'll get a sales rep as she was currently helping someone else at the moment.
I saw the rep he was talking about helping another client but when she was done the rep walked away no where to be found. At this point I was really getting irritated so I walked to another department to ask for some assistance, when I asked the last if she can get me the headset she began check her phone to see if they had any, I told her the box is right here if you want to check so she looked at the box and asked another guy in the gaming department, she came back and said they had none in stock that they only have the quest 3s available.
Judging from the lack of knowledge I witnessed from these employees I went to customer service and asked the girl , she checked the system and told me they had a lot in stock. The girl walked back to the gaming department and came back with the headset I wanted.
She is the only reason I am giving stars or else I would give one. I experienced this many times at Best buy where employees lack proper training on the products they sell.
I wasted about 40min of my time when this process could have been done within 10 min. I understand if the store was busy at the time but it wasn't, there was hardly anyone in there.
I visited the store on Nov 4th 2024 around 11am. The girl at customer service should be valued there as she was able to help and answer my questions, can't say the same for the ones in the gaming department.

I came to Best Buy to buy a fridge after a disappointing experience at another appliance store.
Nicole who helped me out was so incredible! She assisted me right away, helped explain the differences between a couple of models, and let me know about how delivery would work etc.
She was really kind and I appreciated the help so much! Thanks a bunch for getting me set up with the fridge I needed.

Billy in the computer department is a wealth of knowledge and was able to help get me the right products for both business and continuing education needs. Thanks for helping me out and offering great customer service when others couldn't!

Staff know their stuff.. but...
no matter if you spend $10 or $10000.
you have zero way to contact that store directly unless you drive back down to it.. as the call centre will tell you sorry that store is too busy helping other customers to take your call. So once bestbuy has your money, you may as well get lost.. I drive down to this store that's too busy to take calls to deal with an issue im having with this very pricey tv, and i see staff just standing around chatting and playing on their phones. Going forward, if i were to return to make another major purchase, it would not be happening without a direct to store contact number. especially in the example of using the store for in home installs and set-ups.

I highly recommend never shopping here if you value customer service and honesty.
I have been given the absolute run around and cheated out of $610 from this store and Geek Squad.
They will sell you a cell contract with Freedom for trade in trade up, will deceive you into buying a Geek Squad plan (double the monthly cost of Freedoms protection plan) and when you go to make a claim Geek squad will not fix your phone… they will replace it forcing you to pay the trade up amount at Freedom and then will lie to you and tell you the $226 service fee won’t be charged, except it will!
You will then be argued with by both Geek Squad and the assistant mobile manager Nick at this store and made to feel like they don’t care and that you’re somehow making money off the phone lol!
Then you can call head office (que the PR copy and paste response about to come below ?) but they will simply give you a ticket number and never call you back.
I’m out money, cheated and lied to! Just buy from the manufacturer or the provider themselves and never I repeat never shop at Worst Buy!

The worst store ever. The customer service is pathetic and they don't care if you are there or not. They also never seem to have any thing in stock so I don't know why they don't just fire all the useless sales people and turn it into a warehouse. The only reason I am giving them one star is because google won't let you post unless you do.

For computer repairs its a few days wait time but they fixed it promptly and were very friendly about it.

We purchased an Insigma washing machine one year ago, only a couple weeks after, it stopped working , the drain pump broke. It was fully replaced with a brand new one as it was still during return policy time. The new one lasted just under one year and the same issue occurred. The drain pump broke the second weekend of July. Due to this washer still being under warranty (one week left), it was scheduled to be fixed. After too many phone calls that told us that we would receive a phone call back within 24 hours, 72 hours, 5 business days, which never happened, we finally have contact with a technician that said the drain pump needed to be replaced, and the part will take only a few days to arrive. He also pointed out how terribly corroded and rusted the bottom of the machine is, and was shocked that it was only a year old. The part arrived days later .. it was the wrong part ordered. We then received notification that part was in days later and booked the repair date for August 28th and nothing. We still have a broken washing machine, this product is complete garbage and we cannot get ahold of anybody about it. I would love the store manager to get in touch asap .

The return system is a joke. They barely have any stock on good products. Might as well order online as you don't need anyone's help at these stores anymore.

Worst visit I've ever had at a Best Buy in my life. I came to get a camera with my son while I was greeted by Nick who showed me where to find the camera section. I got there with no employees in sight, as I waited for 10 minutes, told my son to find nick and send someone to assist me. Nick called someone but another 5 minutes passed with employees just walking past. I got fed up and left the store. Not the first time, this St Catherine's location has crappy customer service. I'll go spend my money somewhere else where I know I'll get service unlike the employees here laughing and having a blast instead of helping those people to find and purchase the products they were looking for.
