Our son and his family came here a few years back and because they loved their experience so much, we decided to splurge on a vacation here to celebrate my wife's retirement. We opted for the American Plan, for one week, which is supposed to include daily housekeeping.
The staff was friendly at check-in. When we got to our cabin, it became clear that the pictures on the website, and the promise of a "recently renovated bathroom", were not entirely accurate. The bathroom sink was not attched to the wall. The water pressure in the shower was next to nothing. The toilet needed to have the lid removed from the back to have the chain reattached, at least 10 times. The shelf above the sink was also in danger of falling off. Gaps in the exterior windwows were "fixed" with strips of duct tape. The kitchen sink wasn't attached to the counter and there was filth all around the edges. We understand that we were not going to a 5 star hotel, but these are basic things you would expect, especially for the kind of money they're getting.
Over the course of the week, we had to remind the staff that we had the American Plan at least 5 times. At the end of our 7 days, we had received only 4 days worth of this service. We had to ask at the office for basic things like garbage bags, a recycling bin, towels and face cloths, a fan, firewood and to come in and tidy up. These are all things we paid for and were supposed to get, without my having to go and ask for them every day or so. Each time I reminded someone on the staff about this, they were very friendly and "sorry" but I found myself going back to ask for the basics, time and again. When I was asked at check-out how my stay was, the response was the same. I was also told that the manager would be informed. We have yet to hear anything about it. I would have welcomed some feedback.
I can only guess, but it seems to me that Waterfalls Lodge has been bought by someone who sees it as an investment and nothing else. The state of the cabin we were in and the grounds in general should have tipped us off right away. There is no pride of ownership. The staff, while friendly gave the impression that they were somewhat "handcuffed" by restrictions from managment, like there was some kind of mandate to do the bare minimum. I should mention that the kitchen staff was excellent and I have no complaints about the boat and it's maintenance. That said, good food and a good boat are not nearly enough for us to spend that kind of money at Waterfalls Lodge ever again.

Just went for the Brunch for the very first time and we will be back. I eat to much of the breakfast to so get the second plate of awesome lunch food to choose from. And to top it off they had a farmers market with some excellent vegetables and produce to purchase. Great job!

I got the Glamping package with my friend. Firstly, the tent was roomy and comfortable, with lots of soft carpets on the floor. I was excited to see we had drinkable water on tap at the campsites. We had a great view of the water and dock nearby to access our complimentary boat rental. As well, we could call for a canoe or kayak for our use at any time. The resturaunt at the top of the hill is fantastic, great sized portions. The campsite is also pet friendly! Overall, we had a fantastic visit and can't wait to go back!

Went to the Algoma Suite glamping experience for a few nights with my friend. Really enjoyed my stay, had the boat a few feet away, nice deck to sit on, picnic table and chairs around the fire pit. Right on the water, saw a lovely sun rise on the water.
Rooms: Very tidy and clean, extra blankets and pillows in the room
Nearby activities: Hydro bikes, water trampoline, fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing, bonfires, bbq, you won’t run out of things to do.
Food & drinks: Hilltop restaurant on the top of the hill had reasonable prices and does breakfast lunch and dinner service as well as a bar. Continental breakfast was brought to our glamping tent at 8:30 with coffee and muffins.

First time at Waterfalls Lodge, and we hope to be back. The lake is beautiful, and fishing was great. But the standout of the lodge was the staff. Everyone was kind, extremely helpful, and always happy to see and chat with you.

This was our second year staying at the lodge. The staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant was very good. They had a live band one night and the place was hopping. The cabins are fully equipped and well located along the lake. We are going back again next year.

We celebrated my parents 50th anniversary, and the staff was so accommodating. Even gave my parents a cake!
