Needs to know more about small animal care the cages and advise they give is outdated and puts small animals in danger. Hamsters are alone animals and need a min of 450 square inches of unbroken floor space and never use pine shavings because they give ur animals upper respiratory infections and can cause death. Their fish r usually always sick and they don't give proper information about them either no animal should live in any tank under 10 gallons in size even bettas.

They have a great selection for all pet products compared to any other place in town. The staff is always helpful and welcoming. I definitely recommend them if your looking for a good pet shop.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. My family of 4 went in and no one bothered to come ask us if we need any help. All three of them(guy with glasses, girl with green hair, and other short haired girl) stood there at the counter talking and laughing and flirting with eachother. We decided after 10-15 mins of looking around to take our business elsewhere. They only bothered to say anything as we were leaving.What a shame because I was planning on buying three of the $30 male betta fish. Your loss!! Will never go there again!!

The staff were great. Helped me find the perfect Goldfish for my tank. Had great suggestions for tank life and care of my fish. Definitely going back soon.

Diseased fish not quarantined at store for 30 days like all other reputable aquarium stores have told me is their policy. Today there were 3 staff behind counter talking to one customer about his old sick dog for over 10 mins, ignoring other customers, but did say bye as I walked out.

Staff was too busy chatting at the back of the store to help me with dog beds. I was finally told to check their website or to "look over there" *vague gesture towards beds*.

I've been going to Ruffin's for about a year now, and the service is always awesome! They're always happy to answer my questions and lookup product for me. I've bought aquatic plants, fish, invertebrate and supplies for my cats and dogs.A special thanks to Linda who's been helping me learn about aquatics and supported me as I've grown my hobby into a 15+ tank obsession! Her knowledge has been very helpful, especially on diseases and disease management.Note to self: She likes 3 cream 2 sugar ?
