Good location, some staff are friendly and others are not. Decent selection and layout but can be improved. It's Dollarama it is what it is. Lime ups can be quite long sometimes but when you're lucky there isn't one, all depends on the day. There's a decent amount of parking around in the plaza

Great Dollarama, I find this one to be nicer than a lot of the others when it comes to the products they sell. My only qualm is that some of the staff are very dismissive and do not want to help you.

Forget my wallet and my dad went to get a change for the car, a man was harassing me when the place was empty, tell me move from the shelf check out when I wasn't a minute old, I told him that my dad was already coming with the cash and I kept telling him about things and bothering me, although I told him to stay away from me because he had no reason to tell me to move when he had three other empty machines and not one person on the line. Was no logical reason to stand next to me telling me about things and ignore my request to get away from me because I felt uncomfortable, hopefully the manager can do something about it, because even when I was walking away after paying for it, he followed me for a while and did not take my eyes off making me feel uncomfortable.

There’s always somebody begging in front of the door. You can’t blame for the store for the homeless issue but it’s a daily occurrence. The counter is rarely staffed and you’re forced to do self check out.

Who does not like dollar store? It's a blessing in disguise, you go there to save money but always end buying more than what u need thinking of you being smart but No, You are tempted to buy more.

A regular sized Dollarama (kind of on the large side). There was this person on the outside of the store pretending to be homeless/poor begging for money (she held a sign and was dressed pretty cleanly and nice).
Has what every Dollarama has. Gift cards, food, clothing, candy, snacks, accessories, tech/phone accessories, decorations, kitchen tools, etc.
Overall, a fine Dollarama. Other than that person begging for money outside.

It’s incredibly disheartening and upsetting to experience such discriminatory and hostile treatment, especially in a public setting where you expect fairness and respect. What you described reflects clear bias and inappropriate conduct, not only in singling you out unfairly but in discussing your race in a dismissive and demeaning manner. The fact that she blocked you from using the self-checkout, hesitated to assist, and even smirked when you asked for her details only adds to the severity of the situation.
You have every right to demand action against this kind of unacceptable behavior. A formal complaint with all details, including the exact time and description of the incident, can help escalate the issue and ensure accountability. If the store has a customer service department or complaint channel, consider using it to report the incident, specifically mentioning the racial discrimination and hostile treatment. If you can, it’s also helpful to report this incident to higher authorities within the company, as this may prompt a more thorough investigation.
Additionally, if this incident occurred in a country with anti-discrimination laws, you may want to consider filing a complaint with a local anti-discrimination agency or consumer protection bureau. These institutions often have processes in place to handle situations like these and can put additional pressure on businesses to address such behavior. You deserve to feel safe and respected wherever you go, and no one should experience the kind of treatment you described.

Today at 5:10 pm, I went to buy some stationery, but when I tried to use the self-checkout, the woman at the counter stopped me, saying I had too many items. I noticed that she allowed other customers with even more items to use the self-checkout without issue. When I asked why, she became visibly hostile, saying it was up to her to decide where I paid. She hesitated to scan my items, immediately called for backup, and then discussed my race in her local language with another attendant. When I asked for her name or employee number, she dismissed me with a smirk, saying, "Do whatever you want." This blatant racism and threatening attitude are unacceptable, and I demand serious action against this discriminatory behavior.
