This store just gave me the most appalling treatment I've ever received from Dollarama or any retail store. An item rang up at $1.75 when the shelf and item said $1.25. When I questioned about it, the cashier asked if I wanted them or not. I said I would like them both for the advertised price.
A manager came and said oh only one can be for $1.25. I asked why couldn't I have both for $1.25 what it says on the shelf? She did not budge. She said the price was changed this morning, thank you for telling us (This is the third time at Dollarama, second time at this location the price was higher than on the shelf and was conveniently changed that morning too). So I said fine I'll just take the one then. She said she reduced the price only for the one, but it still showed $1.75 on the screen. After showing her the calculation on my phone, $1.25+13% is actually $1.41. Then she said it's with tax. Again I showed her my calculator and said look 13% is not $1.75, it's too much tax, it should be this if you are charging tax on this. She then said, "You are taking too much time." I said I'm taking too much time???? She said yes! And she stood there waiting for payment. I left completely disgusted and will not be spending my money there after that treatment. I came here all the time and this is the third time items have been more expensive at the till than on the shelf and I've always had items honored after mentioning it. I cannot believe how a store manager handled the situation.
I was calmly speaking too. I was not raising my voice or cursing at all and not speaking aggressively. I was just very confused and just wondered why I couldn't have the items at the price on the shelf and on the item. I also was buying a large gift card if that matters. I do not care about the dollar item. I care about the advertised price on the item AND shelf, and over charging the taxes also. How hard is it to honor what is on the sticker, be polite about it and investigate why the price is not coming up with the accurate tax? I'll never return here and will be telling people to avoid this location and to be aware of the false advertising. I am not surprised at all the poor reviews.

Paranoid employees run rampant verbally assaulting customers who only wish to shop.

This morning I went shopping super early with my toddler to beat the rush. It was not busy so I could take my time but when I got to self check out, the young female employee approached me to ask if she could help cash me out. I accepted her offer and brought all my stuff with my toddler over to her counter but when she asked me if I needed any bags, I said no because I brought my own from home. When I handed it to her asking if she could help me pack the bag, but she said no because it's not from their store ...Why even pull me away to offer to help cash me out if You're still going to make me pack my own stuff? I could have stayed at the self checkout counter instead of wasting my time walking over to you....Sad excuse for customer service these days.

Regular 1$ item's are now sold for over the $Price. privately owned stores sell similar items at 1$..now started gauging ....sad sad sad!!!!!

There are 3 Dollarama's in this area. However, this one is right on Eglinton Ave E (north side) near Lebovic. Store well stocked shelves and a quick in and out.
