Why SAATOOR?
So many people asked us why we selected SAATOOR and mainly where we got the right spelling of the word SAATOOR. To answer the first question I have to say that SAATOOR is a Persian word which means Cleaver. A cleaver is the only tool that you can prepare your meat, even though you don’t have other tools like a saw, knife,or tenderizer. I defiantly can demonstrate this if you come to my shop. Now let’s talk about the spelling of the word SAATOOR. A simple search of the word “Cleaver” in Persian language will suggest the following words: SATOR, SATOUR, SATOOR, SAATOR, & SAATOUR. We sent a request to the research department of the University of Tehran to provide us with the correct spelling. The word SAATOOR has been suggested.
