The quality of the transmission work they did is a 4 star, no real complaints there.I gave this location a 1 star rating since they let me down badly by not doing any sort of check to see why the transmission failed, even after I asked them 2x to do this. I later emailed them as well as head office to express my dissatisfaction and it was simply ignored by both parties. I posted a review earlier that was very detailed (negative) and was surprised to see the owner take the sleazy approach of writing that I'd never been there even though I am currently staring at my invoice as I write this. Anyway, after my experience with this exact location I would personally avoid doing business with this exact location ever again.Service: Transmission

Being a specialty shop you think they would know how to do there job properly. There poor quality work left me stranded because of a lose transmission ground that wasn't tightened properly and prevented my car from starting.Had to take to a mechanic wich costed money for them to diagnose and fix on a Saturday. Asked the mechanic at Mr transmission and he says "you drove it of the lot"!.. I took my car there because was leaking transmission fluid and my transmission was little hard sometimes changing gears.After them having my car for 2 weeks they said I needed a torque converter. Then Jason says To me when I picked up my vehicle that "it's still going to do all the same things it did before". Oh and my transmission still leaks.Makes me believe they didn't even do anything to my car at all , just hold it for 2 weeks. This place are crooksService: Transmission

Please, avoid Mr transmission Richmond Hill at all cost, They have no clue about transmission. They scammen me. Not only did they fail to fix the transmission after paid 1,700 upfornt, but they also demanded an additional 2,000 for a rebuild. Lack of ethics and professionalism at its highest.I had to go to another shop to get a solution. please dont go to that shop. I'm sure this review will be emiminated.Service: Transmission

Please , avoide Mister transmission Richmond HIll at all cost. they have no clue about transmissions. they scammed me and when I confronted them , they demanded an extra payment of $2,000 after already paying $1,700, claming that my transmission needed a rebuild. I had to go to another shop to get a solution. They never fixed a thing. Overall, utterly disappointed and frustrated. Their complete lack of ethics and professionalism is appalling.

Negative 1 star Review. 72 Business hours later and I still have no quote. Came in physically on 08/18/23 got my Matrix looked at. 1 week later on 08/25/23 I call to get a quote for rebuild of the transmission and a new-to-me transmission. I would have gotten the quote the first visit, but needed some time to make a decision as the car is reaching 14 years old. Called today (08/29/23) gave my email for a second time, was told I would be contacted. No one contacted me. Wasn’t told when I would be contacted or when I should be expecting someone to reach out. When i was finally about to get numbers, I asked for a physically copy and got meet with the response of “well you aren’t here so I can’t give it to you” well why did I leave my email for you TO EMAIL me the quote then?If I cant get numbers, and if getting numbers is like pulling teeth, why would I choose you to work on my car? A1 Transmission is your place to go. Not here.

I brought my car in for a differential fluid change. The staff was polite and respectful. However, there was a slight hiccup due to a miscommunication. Upon raising this issue, the owner Jason listened to my concerns patiently and took swift action to rectify the situation. This experience demonstrated their remarkable sense of responsibility and integrity.Adding to my praise for this business, they excelled in resolving a persistent noise issue with my vehicle. Through their diagnosis during a test drive, they traced the problem to the rear wheel bearing. After the replacement, the noise was gone, and the drive is much more smooth.Overall great experience. Will definitely come again.

Thank you Jason for diagnosing my car transmission issue that I've been dealing with for months.Realizing it's a warranty issue that most likely won't cost me very much at all is good news after I've already thrown almost $4000 into it.Honesty & integrity are characteristics I don't see very often these days, and you definitely have that.Super happy someone finally listened to me. The new owner Jason is much better than the old owner Gary, who is racist, everytime when I called in, he said sorry I don’t understand you. In fact my English IELT is 7.0. Jason is much different, he is very friendly & professional, and most of all, his new team is the master. New sheriff in town. Highly recommended!Services: Transmission
