Discovered this amazing place at the Cottage Life Show this Spring - purchased at the show and then purchased more in store - incredible service providing honest and very useful information to help make the best decision. Prices are great as is the quality (quality far exceeded the price) and the delivery experience was perfect. Can't imagine shopping for anything outdoors anywhere else now.

Called this place asking if they sell replacement canopies and replacement rubber stops for the bottom of chairs. Both times they've asked if you previously purchased from them. Unless your umbrella was specifically from them they don't even help. I'm quite capable of replacing a canopy myself and it doesn't matter if you bought the frame from them. 6 ribs at 10 ft is the same canopy universally. I swear some people think customers are stupid or that we know less than them. The guy who answered also stated they would get back to me about the rubber stops and no one ever did as I expected. I doubt he remembers that I have been in their store 2 years ago but because of the way they answered the phones and their lack of interest I wouldn't ever go back...besides they've got the same old, same old stuff as any other overpriced patio furniture store that claims to be high end. I have aluminum chairs from Canadian Tire that look just like the expensive outdoor rattan yet are better quality and are going on 15 years and were also left outside uncovered. I did my rounds in the GTA to compare quality and believe me even Walmart quality is better then what you would find at these places.

Looking for outdoor high quality value priced furniture? Look no further. Large store on site product selection and extensive Sunbrella fabrics to choose from. Great customer service from Jacob and Stuart. Highly recommend.

Bought an awesome patio set from the boat show. Although the products are amazing, the customer service was more than a 5 star rating. Our salesman was Michael and he went above and beyond to ensure we were completely satisfied. Highly recommend dealing with him personally. Highly recommend this company

I bought a cantilever umbrella at this store. Knowledgeable and helpful staff that treat you fairly and have good quality product. I had a problem with the product (due to my own mix up with an assembly step) and the store sent someone to my house and corrected the issue. Friendly, professional honest with good quality product. I recommend them very highly.

It's a real shame what's become of this place. I'm a long standing repeat customer. I wanted to purchase a new high end set of outdoor furniture. Ive been to the showroom 3 times over the past 3 weeks. Each time the staff tells me that they cant help me and that i have to speal to Stuart (the owner). Stuart is never there. I leave my name and number and I never receive a return call. I have called the showroom numerous times and left voicemail messages. They never answer the phone and they never call back.Only giving one star because no matter how nice the products are or how good the prices, if you literally can't give them your money then you are just wasting your time.Go elsewhere and buy what you want without the run around.

My husband and I spent a solid month visiting every outdoor furniture store in Toronto. Without question GP had the best service, selection, and customizability. Our associate, Michael, was also incredibly kind and helpful. If you're looking for proper outdoor furniture you need to include GP on your list.

Great products. Incredible customer service! We had ordered a table that I noticed was defective after a month. One quick phone call and Jeff was all over it. Stayed on top of it until we got the replacement table. Totally hassle free. Highly recommend.

Stuart and his staff were excellent to do business with. They didn't try to upsell anything and were easy to talk to. Everyone was very patient while we measured and re-measured. Delivery was excellent as well. Prices are very competitive and often cheaper than other places. Much better than guessing at Canadian Tire or another box store. Very large selection as well. Highly recommended!!

Original Review on August 8, 2020:We purchased a Corriveau Maestrale gazebo on April 14th, 2019 in which the installation was completed in mid-June 2019 due to difficulties with obtaining parts. Michael W., the sales staff, was very attentive and knowledgeable and I even left a favorable Google 5-star review at the time of purchase. I also recommended friends to check out their store since I feel supporting our local stores is important.When we purchased the gazebo, we were reassured by Michael that the gazebo could withstand the weight of the snow and fallen snow from the roof etc. It was an important issue that was repeatedly discussed. However, we noted damage to the roof of the gazebo on February 9, 2020 after a weekend of heavier snowfall with pictures taken the next day and after the snow had melted (see attached pictures). We're disappointed that the gazebo hasn't been able to withstand the weight of the snow and contacted GP Inc. about applying the warranty for the gazebo.Stuart, the owner of General Products Inc. (GP Inc.), would later assess the damage in mid-March 2020. He indicated that he would communicate with the manufacturer, Corriveau, and have the issue resolved. We didn’t hear from GP Inc. or Stuart for several weeks. With the COVID19 pandemic, I appreciate that Corriveau may be closed or had slowed down during this period. By the end of April, I emailed GP Inc. again and was told that they were still waiting for a reply from Corriveau. By the end of June, after another email and phone calls, I was informed that the parts were coming but they were uncertain when it would come in. It’s August 2020 now. More emails have been sent but have not received a reply or further updates.I’m very disappointed with the Corriveau Maestrale gazebo. For a ‘Premium’ gazebo, the roof buckled under the weight of the fallen snow. We were impressed with Michael’s knowledge and justified the expensive price of this gazebo because we were told that General Products Inc. would support their customers afterwards. However, we’re extremely disappointed with the after-sales service and the repeated efforts needed to get any updates from GP Inc.I would not recommend purchasing the Corriveau Maestrale gazebo (10’ x 14’). For a >$2400 gazebo, we’re disappointed that the roof buckled under the weight of fallen snow and within the first ten months of purchase. We’re also disappointed with the after-sales service provided by GP Inc. I will update this review upon the hopeful resolution of this issue.Update September 19, 2020:It had been a frustrating process due to the lack of response to our questions or any updates from GP Patio. However, communication and updates from GP Patio improved in mid-August. By September 19th, 2020, the parts had arrived and the repair of the gazebo was carried out to our satisfaction. No additional costs were incurred for the parts or repair.

We purchased gorgeous patio furniture from General Products a few years ago. Went back recently since we're looking to get a dining table and chairs and some outdoor seating for a cottage, and it was quite an unpleasant experience overall. The person who helped us (after we'd been in there for 15 minutes and had to ask one of the many employees for assistance) was helpful - when we had her attention. Otherwise, employees were sitting, eating, talking (in the middle of the showroom without masks), and talking on the phone without masks. It was very unprofessional and I felt unsafe in that space. We left before checking out all the furniture because of the lack of proper Covid safety protocols and the inattentive customer service. We probably won't be back!
