I would highly recommend Luke’s. I purchased a sofa from their store during covid, and Luke’s went out of their way to be helpful. There were some complications with the sofa manufacturer - no fault of Luke’s - and the sales personal and owner went out of their way to make things right. Great communication and customer service! I would definitely buy from their store again.

Nice, eclectic selection. Very friendly staff, but not in an overbearing way. They are attentive without being intrusive.

Nice store but egregiously overpriced.

My experience at this store was absolutely terrible. Customer service was horrendous! Walked into the store and was just stared at without any greeting. No one came around asking if I needed any help and when I wanted to ask a question the cashier didn’t seem interested in helping. I have no clue if it was something I was doing but the other sale representative nicely helped all other customers who came in after me. Never going to this store ever again!

As soon as I walked in I thought "Oh no. This is going to be expensive." hahaha I love this place. So many good items in this store. Also, you can tell all the workers love working there. It is such a positive atmosphere. Great shopping experience.

I'm surprised that this place received such low ratings in the past. I had a completely different experience. Perhaps things have changed since these reviews. My friend and I took a stroll along Queen Street while we were in Port Perry. We decided to check out Luke's Country Store. I'm so glad that we did. The store has quite the selection of decor items for your home, such as wall clocks and year-round wreaths. I enjoyed seeing snacks for purchase. One of the first things that I spotted was Poppy gourmet popcorn. It's made in Asheville, NC, which is where a friend of mine lives. I'm so envious of him, but I'm glad that I can get this popcorn without boarding a plane! You can also get Squish gummies, which include vegan options. What shocked me was going way into the back of this store and finding out that there's an entire Hallmark store. It felt like Luke swallowed Hallmark and it's now a card store within a larger store. I told my friend that we could be here for hours. I love picking out cards and looking at Christmas ornaments. She nodded, as she has been the recipient of the former and knows just how much I like choosing that perfect card for someone. Although I don't need wooden pears on a platter at home or gnome plushies on my mantle, this store is whimsical and cool. I had a great time looking around and making notes of gifts to get down the road. There were so many gift-giving ideas that you are likely to find a decent gift for someone who claims to have everything. I did grab a bag of Poppy dark chocolate pretzel popcorn. I have a weakness for popcorn, especially when it's fancy and looks yummy. I lined up at the checkout as my friend continued to browse. I got an older woman who helped me cash out. She was friendly and nice. I paid using my debit card. She put my popcorn in a paper bag, which was a nice gesture on a rainy day. I thanked her and we eventually left the store. It was tough! The popcorn was delicious. I was sad that I ate the whole bag in one sitting. I may need to return sooner than expected and try the other four flavours soon. I had a great experience here. Staff were friendly and I like the products that this store offers. (316)

A very nice local home furnishing store with lots of great stuff for everything in your home. At the front of the store was furnishing items for your living room, family room and bedroom. One cool thing I found was an alpaca wool laundry dryer ball that's an eco-friendly substitute to the laundry dryer sheets. In the back of the store there were Hallmark cards for all occasions and a small baby section. Staff greeted us and were very attentive and knowledgeable. Outside the store, a block of Queen Street was closed for foot traffic only and picnic tables were setup in the middle of the street. I really enjoyed that and staff told us the local businesses organization was testing it as a pilot project.
