I would give no stars if i could. My mother went to Canadian Tire in Port Perry to have them look at her vehicle because she was having trouble with her brakes. She told them she was an 83 year old widow, her mistake, they then did a "brake inspection". They didn't even record the mileage correctly but that is beside the point. They presented her with a quote for almost $4,000. Told her it wasn't worth fixing and she should get herself a new vehicle. She called me in tears over it. I arranged for my mechanic to look at it, had it towed to him and what do you know... he fixed it for $867. I will never go to Canadian Tire in Port Perry again, for anything. Shame on them trying to take advantage of an older lady. What a disgrace!

Worst Canadian Tire store ever. Stock levels online never match what is actually in the store. The shelves are normally in shambles and try finding an employee for help. It would be easier to find tap dancing Bigfoot that could only sing Taylor Swift songs in French. The cashiers are rarely ever friendly and I don’t remember the last time I got asked would you like a bag with that or even told just to have a nice day. Save yourself the aggravation go to Uxbridge, Lindsey, Markham or even the moon, anywhere but Port Perry.

No allowed into the store from garden centre or vice versa..so you buy a plant and have to walk all the way around to front entrance to get a shovel and line up again to pay. Never coming back here

If I could leave less than 1 star I would. I brought my 2024 trax in for an oil change. Less than 10000 km on it. First oil change. Car was running funny after so I checked the oil. Way too much oil in it. Brought back into canadian tire and told them. They sent someone out to check. Guy said it was fine. Took it somewhere else they took almost 2 extra liters out of it to bring it to a normal level.
So first they messed up then they lied to me about it. Because I am a woman I was basically patted on the head and sent on my way. I will share this story with everyone who will listen.

Best store in town. Friendly staff. Really organized and have good protocols for covid.
Update: May 26 2024. Still my favourite store in town. Had a small issue and Monica at customer service was able to solve efficiently and effectively. Thank you for your help and knowledge.
