I am posting this because my family experienced the same thing as the lady below me posted! Yes.. you guessed it by the same person!
Absolutely ridiculous ! We couldn’t leave my daughter alone in the car.. so off she came with us ..she ( 16 years old )commented on the alcohol bottle we were buying within ear shot of an employee I’m guessing .. and guess what it was considered a 3rd party purchase. Lol … by the time we reached the cashier ..she didn’t touch the alcohol.. we didn’t say anything about buying etc for her.. nor do we allow her to drink !
So fed up with these people flexing power over ridiculous situations . Sorry your family too had to experience this. This location needs to review their protocols !

My daughter went with my niece to purchase alcohol. My niece was of age and had I.D. to prove it. When they went to the cash register she asked my daughter for I.D. and my daughter said she didn't have any (even though she wasn't purchasing the alcohol!!) The LCBO employee then denied the purchase stating she "overheard" them talking. I then came into the store to which the employee told me she couldn't sell me alcohol because it was now a 3rd party sale!! Here I am, a grown women, being denied alcohol sales by some women who has decided to profile innocent girls who weren't doing anything illegal!! I've been coming to this LCBO for the past 15 years and I've never run into this. I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars and today was told no by a girl named Tess!!! I know it sounds like I'm ranting but give me a break!! If I truly wanted to purchase the alcohol for my daughter I would have done it myself!! Bottom line, Port Carling is a very small town and business is seasonal, this is purely someone who is abusing their (lack of) power!!!

I don’t write bad reviews, but this place is a great poster child for why Ontario needs to end the monopoly.Poor selection, high prices and the staff I spoke with seemed grumpy (maybe it was just a bad day?).Port carling could do so much better with some more open minded options.
