UPDATE. This store is absolutely disgusting. After finally achieving to start our build I have come to realize not a single thing Merritt did to start my house is right. I have now got quite a few witnesses that are willing to give statements. We had to get new drawings , we had to get 4 extra engineered drawings that they didn’t even do. They did nothing but waste 5,000 dollars of our hard earned money. Your store will need to take us to court to pay the extra 2000.00 and I am taking this to the media. What a complete scam company.
Do not build anything with beaver homes or merret home hardware. Go to lakefeild home hardware they are supplying us our wood at a fraction of what this dump was trying to charge us.
Buyer beware. Do not purchase a home from beaver homes or Merritt home hardware unless you want to be taken advantage of. We started the process being sold on the idea it is more cost effective. In the end they scammed us for a total of 7,000 dollars approximately. They told us that our initial 5,000 would be taken to make the drawings a pay for the permits. They ended up charging us 5500 dollars to just get the drawings which later we called the place to do them and spoke to our current builder they are no more then 2500 for our size of home they added in a bunch of extras like a engineered floor and tried to sell us on a ICF foundation. This all added up and in the end I was left with a quote for 463 dollars per square foot and that did not include kitchen, bathroom and flooring and we would still have to paint and do all baseboards and even better yet 600,000 doesn’t include hanging doors. These people knew I was in a 400 square foot house and took advantage of our need for speed. In the end the building manager went on vacation and I had another builder take over the project. We were told we were almost ready to build they charged us all this money then we still didnt have a site plan, septic plan, permits were not uploaded to the cloud in fact the town had no idea we were even building. Then they have the nerve to send me another bill for another 2000 dollars. Do not build or even go to Merritt home hardware they are a scam. They claim to care about the community and people and they take advantage of customers and charge absurd amounts of money. Then they don’t care in the end and leave you high and dry and still try to take more. I will be reporting also to the better business bureau and corporate.

I just had a fence installed and my deck extended. I would like to thank Mike Ardiel for quoting on my job and his professionalism . Mike scheduled the job and Daryl & Derrick were here on that day and right on time to start the job. They were awesome, good workers and meticulous about their work. They were friendly and very hard workers. I would highly recommend Merritts Home Hardware for all your needs and if you need any type of install done with Mike, Daryl, Derrick you can't go wrong and remember they are LOCAL. July 2024.

Definitely coming back to Merrett HH and way better customer service than Lakefield HH. Got great help from Stew the other day and excellent customer service today morning from him. This afternoon Fleming was also super friendly and got amazing customer service from him at the desk. They have almost everything you need & you don’t wanna go to any other store after coming to Merrett HH and a 5 star overall.

Not too good a selection of nuts and bolts hardware for a hardware store. I asked for 2 different sizes of machine bolts and they didn't have either. Said they don't carry fine thread bolts at all.
