I saw a rug on their website that I really liked. I called to make sure it was still available before I drove there to see it. (30 min drive)
The gave the guy on the phone the name, description, size...asked him to confirm twice that it was still there before I drove there.
He says "well is it on the website? If so then yes, we still have it."
So he didn't even bother to check?
Guess what...it wasn't there.
Horrible service. Too lazy to check if something is in stock.
Not interested in giving them my business in the future, and not interested in recommending this place to others.

Steve deceived us and knew exactly what he did but refused to make it right when he got caught!!
Received furniture that is completely different from what is shown in the showroom. We were deceived as upon receiving the item, it was new in the box so we couldn’t inspect. Once we got it home and unboxed the item it turns out it was a completely different product from what he told us we were going to get. We called the manager and he said no refunds. What a scam and cheat way to sell furniture. I would not trust this company as there is a lot of red flags with it. We are now stuck with furniture that is not what we paid for! He was not helpful and kept telling us that we should know better. Think twice before giving your money to this business, it should be shut down as it is a complete scam

If I could rate a zero I would!!
They take your furniture and keep the money…I feel they are criminals!
Brought funishings including an antique desk. When I called to see if any items had sold they told me I was too late in contacting them and therefore do not get any of the money they got for the furniture.

Actually, called for help downsizing and I got almost no support. I was told my stuff wasn't any use to them and when I asked if they could point me to saying else, they said no idea. I'm a bit disappointed.

Great deals on quality furniture. I regularly visit Total Home, they have some of the best quality consignment furniture I've seen for around half the cost of buying the pieces new. Additionally, they also sell new furniture, including custom sofas, loveseats, chairs, & sectionals. Another thing that makes them stand out to me, is that they regularly have Model Home Furnishings from the builders in the Ottawa area. I'd classify them as an upscale consignment + new furniture store. Their showroom has the largest selection I've seen in Ottawa.If you're looking for cheap furniture, I'd check kijiji or the salvation army. The negative reviews I read mainly seem like personal expectations not being met. I was greeted when I ventured past the cash, and my questions were answered genuinely (they actually told me not to buy a certain piece from one of their wholesalers that caught my eye). In the past service might have been lack luster, but my personal experience was inviting with low pressure sales (which I prefer vs being convinced into a purchase that I've regretted in the past).Hope this helps give people a better understanding of this store.Cheers!
