I got dip nails done here Sept 16th. Not only have these lasted through a metal festival, but also flying, bartending, serving, Halloween outings, a bachelorette weekend and more!
They STILL do not have a single chip 6 weeks later! Photo evidence of 6 weeks of growth and still amazing quality.
I wish I were in Ottawa again soon to have the salon work their magic again.

Top Nails is my go-to salon. They do a fabulous job every time. The staff is helpful and friendly, and I really enjoy every step of their pedicure. The polish lasts until my nails grow and need to be cut again. I've dropped in without an appointment before, but they have a lot of repeat clients so I usually call ahead. Highly recommended!

Have had okay experiences here. But today, I was gaslit by the staff about the results of my nails. A good nail salon is one where they can admit they made a mistake.
I paused my nail artist to say I did not think that the nails would turn out like the design if he applied another coat, as I was looking for a translucent design. I showed him the photo. I showed this photo at the start of the session. He insisted it would, and applied the coat. He also rushed me, quickly put my hand in the dryer which made my fingers bump the side, and then got mad at me for the bump. I left with bubbles under my nail and a design that did not match what I paid for. Other nail artists at the salon usually stop you and ask if you like things along the way but he did not.
I didn’t want to make a scene so I left and called to explain, and the person on the other end, without even seeing my nails or the design, said that it was my fault. I said on the phone I understand if there’s nothing you can do, but she kept explaining how the nails are right and that I don’t understand. She said it’s because of the colour of my skin…. If that’s the case the tech could have warned me before I chose that design. However, I’ve seen black and brown women with this design no problem…
She said I could come back and she’d consider redoing them, but I don’t want to humiliated in front of the salon arguing about whether or not it looks like the photo.
Not the first time I felt gaslit here.

I had my acrylic extension set removed and I'm sorry to say this was a truly terrible experience. the nail tech physically pried the acrylics off of my nails, damaging my nails, and in the process, he sliced INTO my actual nail. I've had to wear a bandage on that finger because there is exposed nail bed. I regret not asking for a refund but I didn't fully realize until I was walking home.
If you have to go here, make sure they remove your set by soaking.

I’ve been coming to Top Nails consistently for the last few months and I can’t imagine going anywhere else. The prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality of service you receive. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, making every visit a delightful experience. Their attention to detail is impeccable, and I always leave feeling pampered and satisfied. I highly recommend Top Nails to anyone looking for a top-notch nail salon.

Uneven nail shaping on the hands, unproper nail trim on the feet, nail polish application lasted 1 day only, and residues of old shellac color after removal. Unprofessional and unwelcoming male technician.

Decided to give this place a shot since our regular spot was booked for the night we wanted.I got a shellac Mani Pedi. The very next day the shellac had already started chipping off.The last time I got this same service (from a different nail salon) it lasted 3 weeks before it started coming off.The service was good but the quality of product is lacking.

Top nails squeezed me in for a last minute appointment at the end of the day, which I greatly appreciated. Thu did a beautiful job on my shellac nails with extensions. She really took her time to ensure the nails were shaped right and the design was how I wanted it. When they didn’t have a light enough blue - she mixed her own colour! I will definitely book with her again. Thanks Thu!

More like bottom nails. The nails look great but these kids have no experience and more than once the nails break and fall off. I'm gonna have to put my money somewhere else because they make me out to be the bad guy because I ask for a nail fix, wth...

Unfortunately, I had to update my past review from a 5 star to 2 stars. It has been a few times, I have been disappointed on the services. A very nice gentelman did my nails, asked for biogel; after the service, the nails turned yellow and stained nails my natural nails yellow. I opted to go back to fix my yellow stained nails.

Disclaimer this is my first nail salon visit ever, now I went in as I have a on going split nail that wouldn't grow out and was at a dangerous damage level.Ha was amazing, friendly, welcoming and has a great personality, safe to say I am her newest fan though I am sure I am not alone in that club. The salon was great, clean and so calming with sounds of water and soft song of birds play.I would also like to note the beautiful altar, I left feeling peace and happiness, thank you to the staff I look forward to many more visits.

I had a terrible experience at Top Nails with a male nail technician. Despite booking an appointment for a pedicure, the service I received was extremely disappointing. When I arrived at the scheduled time on Friday, April 23rd at 5 pm, I was directed to station number 5. However, the technician did not follow standard pedicure procedures, such as washing my feet, cleaning my cuticles, or removing dead skin.During the service, he only briefly soaked my feet, trimmed my nails without seeking my preference, quickly cleaned them, and started applying nail polish. Halfway through, I noticed that the customer next to me was receiving a more comprehensive treatment. When I questioned the technician about the difference in treatment, he dismissed my concerns by stating that my skin was soft, despite clear evidence of dead skin buildup. He assured me that he would address it later but proceeded to apply oil and lotion, which are not effective in removing dead skin.At the end of the service, he charged me the full amount and an additional $5 for changing the nail polish color, even though he had initially chosen the color without consulting me. I was left feeling unsatisfied with the service and disappointed by the lack of professionalism displayed by the technician.
