The driver could not be bothered to knock or ring the doorbell. Just left a note telling me to pick up on Montreal Road. I have mobility issues and can not drive.
UPS is a joke of a delivery service. However service at the UPS store was professional and courteous. Kudos to the franchise operators.

The attendant was more interested in ranting about immigrants from a specific country than he was in completing my request. It took five attempts to get a correct mailing label, due to this lack of attention to the job. He was also ironically a visible minority.
Unbelievable line of conversation from an employee. Won't be returning to this location.

I was suppose to receive a package that required a signature one day. Myself and my husband were home all day, on alert for this package. I check the tracking at about 2pm, to see that "an attempted delivery" was made at about 1250. We heard no doorbell, no knock, and typically my two dogs go crazy when ever they hear (with their excellent hearing) a knock at the door or any sound outside to be frank. We were also on the same floor as the door at this time.
I contacted UPS customer service on the phone, they were very nice. Said they would try to track down the driver, and get the delivery resent that day or Wednesday. When I saw it was dropped off at UPS 149, I called the branch to confirm it would be rescheduled the next day. Yup they said, no problem.
Then about 20 minutes later, I get a phone call from what I presume is the manager and/or store owner. I answer, and I was "greeted" with a very firm voice, "YOU NEED TO COME GET YOUR PACKAGE". No asking my side of the story, just a demand. I explained my situation and she claims the delivery driver knocked 3 times. 3 times and 2 humans home and 2 dogs didn't hear it? I asked why the doorbell in plain view was not rung. No answer to that.
Then this is where it gets cruel. I told her, our family doesn't have a car and I have a broken foot in an air cast. She tells me "well its not that far, you can walk". The distance between my house and UPS 149 on Montreal Road is 2.3km, a walk of 37 minutes for someone not in a cast.
She eventually gives me a very wishy-wash response, suggesting it might be sent, but she couldnt' give a timeline, arguing with me the entire time, making it seem that i was100% in the wrong.
The next day, not knowing if or when she would send it, I walked from Montfort hospital, where I was getting xrays on my foot, for the 20 minutes, 1km, to the store to retrieve it, and of course, it had not been rescheduled for that day at least.
Even if I was in the wrong, that was incredibly rude and unprofessional to treat a customer like that, especially with a temporary disability. I've seen on the door notes, there is an option to retry the next day, so I know this can be done sometimes.
