I had the pleasure of attending Elizabeth's oil and vinegar presentation at the Strathmere location. As an Italian (visiting Ottawa) who lives in the city next to where balsamic vinegar was born I can say that I have never heard anyone talk so passionately about this topic, Elizabeth is a wonderful person who puts a lot of passion into what she does and I admit that from Italian, I felt clueless with how much information she was able to give me that I didn't even know.

We ordered our wedding favours from The Unrefined Olive and I cannot recommend them enough! Kitt was amazing to work with— so helpful and kind as we navigated the process. The Milanese gremolata olive oil and aged balsamic were a perfect complement to our meal and the handwritten tags were so beautiful. They were the perfect favour and we cannot wait to buy more olive oil and vinegar to have at home.

I love this place, so many different types of olive oil and vinegar! The staff is very friendly and helpful, was able to sample the products I wanted. There is some free parking available, but I was able to walk there. Will definitely visit this place again!

The Unrefined Olive has helped take my home cooking to the next level- such a lovely collection of the world's best olive oils + balsamic. The store is beautiful and the owner and the staff are extremely friendly, knowledgable and fun! It's always a great experience and I always find the best food gifts there as well! Their gift certificates are always well received as birthday, teacher and holiday gifts! A must visit for every foodie or anyone who wants to up-level their kitchen creations.

This place has such a cool selection of oils and balsamic vinegars! The dark espresso balsamic has been our favourite for quite a while now. Their sampler sets are great for gifting too.

Great selection, all their balsamics taste great. The staff has been very helpful all the times I've been there, and the store is very nice and clean. They have a website so you can order and pick up as well.

Unrefined Olive Oil has something for everyone palate. Their staff are knowledgeable and can offer you the perfect Olive oil to pair with any food. They offer a laid back relaxed environment that is welcoming and open. They offer tastings so that you can choose which oil is best for you. If you want my opinion I'd go with the Red Dark Balsamic Vinegar. The Unrefined Olive generously donates to many of the charities I volunteer for throughout the city.
